Dr. Dave Shahani, MD

Dr. Dave Shahani specializes in neurology with a focus on pediatric care. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine. With 15 years of experience treating neurological conditions in children and adolescents, Dr. Shahani provides comprehensive care for young patients facing complex brain and nervous system disorders. He speaks English fluently with his patients and their families.

Dr. Shahani practices at Cook Children's Medical Center and sees patients at the Jane and John Justin Institute for Mind Health in Fort Worth, Texas. He treats children with epilepsy and helps manage various types of seizures, including focal seizures that affect specific areas of the brain. Dr. Shahani also works with young patients who have sensory processing disorder, helping them and their families understand and manage how the brain processes sensory information from the environment.
