The most rewarding aspect of being a Dermatologist over the last 16 years has been the interactions I have had with my patients. I see approximately 10,000 patients per year and try to treat each patient as if they were my friend or relative. I believe that a large number of my patients would consider me to be their friend. I have always put my patient’s best interest at the forefront rather than what their insurance company wanted them to be treated with or whatever was easiest to get covered. I believe that medicine is based on science but that it is crucial for us to remember that patients are people first with loved ones, past experiences, and hopes for the future and their treatment has an impact on each of these.

I was ordered Dupixent , Dr Amos is in the process of checking with the people at Dupixent to make sure my migraine medication does not react unfavorably with the Dupixent. They helped me fill out all the forms that were requested and answered any questions that I had. I appreciate all the Extra work that Dr. Amos and his staff have done for me to make getting this medication possible, They have gone above and beyond the call of Duty! Thank you so much!!

I see Debbie P at the Passavant office and I love her. Previous commenter about the biopsies...I would rather have a scar and know that a spot wasnt cancer than leave it and wonder. I like that she is more conservative and gives me her honest opinion and lets me choose to biopsy or not. Yes, some prescriptions are through the mail but the crap the insurance company pays for is just that--crap. She always has given me samples to try while Im waiting anyway so if I wait a few days and get the GOOD stuff for a reasonable price, I'll wait. Just my opinion.

I've seen all three providers now of this practice and I must say Dr.Amos is the best. Debbie P, , not so much. She comes in and basically just cuts everything off and leaves horrible scars!! Does she get paid more for biopsies or something? I was told two of my biopsies are likely melanoma and they both came back "normal" and now I'm left with two awful scars. If she doesn't know what she's doing, she should ask the providing Doctor first.

I love Dr.Amos and his friendly staff. I just found out he has a new office in the north hills too. That office is closer to my home and much quicker to get in to so I really like going there. Sometimes he can get behind but I think it's worth waiting for.

Horrendous experience. Can't reach anyone in the office. THey don't follow up. They won't renew prescriptions and want to see you every 2 months for a chronic condition. Want you to use their pharmacy, which is overpriced out of NYC. Only write prescriptions for Name brand prescriptions and you have to ask for generic. Probably get kick backs from the drug companies. Won't ever go back.

Sometimes it can be difficult to get appointment, but once your in and working with Dr. Amos he's quick, efficient and courteous.
