Dr. David Carfagno, DO

I went to Dr Carfagno for an annual wellness exam and concerns over symptoms of low testosterone and occasional foot swelling. He ordered labs and told me about his aging athlete program, which involves many outside providers and many tests equaling several thousand dollars. On the follow up visit I explained I could not afford all the other aging athlete tests and this is not what I was interested in anyway. He went over the bloodwork, but showed no interest in my complaints, did no exam, nothing. Essentially, if I wasn't interested in his aging athlete program, which is not what I came in for, he is not interested in you. I chose him because I was told by his scheduling team that he would be the right fit for my concerns. They were incorrect.

He has a warm and friendly personality that makes you feel comfortable and valued. He listens attentively to your concerns and questions, and explains everything clearly and patiently. He never makes you feel rushed or pressured, but rather empowers you to make informed decisions about your health and well-being. Dr. Carfagno has a remarkable ability to diagnose and treat complex and challenging cases. He uses the latest technology and techniques to provide the best possible outcomes for his patients. He showed me my ultrasound in detail and taught me about the anatomy and physiology of my injury. He gave me a comprehensive treatment plan that addressed not only the symptoms, but also the root causes of my problem. Dr. Carfagno is also a mentor and a leader in his community. He dedicates his time and energy to… teaching and inspiring the next generation of doctors. He works with premed students who shadow him and learn from his expertise and wisdom. He is a role model for them, as well as for his colleagues and staff. He also supports various local causes and organizations, such as charities, events, and pet rescue programs. He is generous, compassionate, and altruistic. Dr. Carfagno is an exceptional doctor, and I am so grateful to have him as my doctor. His staff is also professional, polite, and responsive. They create a welcoming and efficient environment for the patients. I highly recommend Dr. Carfagno and Scottsdale Sports Medicine Institute to anyone who needs a top-notch sports medicine doctor.

Dr. C has all the major bases covered but it's the little things is why I gave him five stars. I know when he's at a conference, I know when he's doing continue education, I know when he is at a sporting event, all these little things make me feel more confident that he is staying up-to-date and is involved in the community .

Dr. Dave is not only the physician that I see when I am injured while training but he is who I send all my patients to. We is one of the best doctors around and treats all patients as if they are family.
