Dr. Decker was my Doctor in Royal Oak Michigan 25 years ago. He is a excellent doctor that put up with my craziness.I really felt I was going to die when I was diagnosed.He is very kind and understanding. My husband is a quadriplegic from strokes. Other Dr's saw him and just said he's chronic and wanted to dismiss him. Dr Decker called me and spent like 40 minutes with me discussing my husband's history and what options we could take to find a diagnosis for his severe pain that had come on out of nowhere. He listened to me at great length and even encorporated some of my ideas. The result was that my husband not only had a fractured spine, but the real pain that was occurring, was from a mass in his backside. I will never forget the attention he gave us and how he validated my husband's cries for help that were dismissed by others. Florida Hospital is very lucky to have him and so were we. Dr decker at Florida hospital is absolutely one of the most caring, empathetic doctors. He takes time at the bedside to listen and explain diagnosis. Never makes you feel rushed!

Dr. Decker is patient, takes his time in explaining what he/the group is doing and what possibilities are available for finding out the root cause of my acute hydrocephalus. what i most remember about him is that he tries to choose the least evasive options for treatment. Consider yourself lucky to be under his care!! I am still in the middle of diagnosis, as cases involving acute hydrocephalus are not easily diagnosed.
