Dr. David Folkers, MD

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with any physician and their staff. Billed me twice for a copay. Rushed me through my appointment and insisted on surgery within 2minutes of talking to the doctor. These are the people whom inflate your bill and lie to insurance just so you have to pay more. Never again!

In a time when potential patients use the internet and have access to healthcare information, Dr. Folkers has not adapted well. He appeared insulted and reacted badly to questions I asked about his recommended treatment. He refused to discuss alternatives or answer questions based on information from people "who are not here in the room". He may indeed be a skillful surgeon but his attitude so put me off I decided to get a second opinion and ultimately followed that recommendation.

My husband has seen Dr. Folkers on several occasions now. He did a great job with his colon resection and hernia repair. He is a great surgeon and is very knowledgeable. Dr. Folkers is also very good about answering questions and listening to concerns. He has a great sense of humor and is easy to talk to. We've never had much of a wait time at his office and his staff is exceptional.

He was short and rude. Said he didn't care about the pain. He was just looking at the wound. Was just repetitive. Took my sister off antibiotics because "he said so". No true reason put on the report. Total jerk when no other physician is around. Next time he came in the room and the other doctor stayed in, hus total demeanor changed.

Very professional, great bedside manner, and also very informative; explaining exactly how the procedure would be done.

Dr. Folkers is awesome!!
