Dr. David Molina Garcia, MD

Not appropriate for Orange County Kaiser to employ this below community standard doctor.

I can't even bring myself to call him a Doctor. He lied to me and my family, tried to cause conflict between my sister and I and then upset my 86 year old Dad by calling his room and telling him that the Rehab Center he requested has been taken off the table and now he has to go to a facility in Santa Ana, knowing that it would make it difficult for my Mom to visit him. He did this because he wanted my Dad released and we asked if we could wait until the Doctor who performed my Dad's procedure could examine him to make sure everything was okay, plus we had questions for him. Garcia got so upset and said no your Dad is fine and he already talked to the Doctor who did his procedure (LIE #1) and he needs to be released. So, my sister and I called and disputed the release and was able to get a few extra days in order to talk to the Doctor directly. When we spoke to the Doctor he said that Garcia told him that my Dad already went home and everything was fine. (LIE #2) Then we were told that… the place that we wanted to have my Dad go for rehab declined him because Garcia called and said he has behavioral issues. (LIE #3) Garcia did this AFTER Kaiser assigned a new Doctor to my Dad because of our dispute. Garcia is very vindictive if he doesn't get his way, hates it when you have to get together with other family members before making a decision ... he wants you to agree with him on the spot. He had my sister in tears because he was pressuring her to make a decision and said HE didn't have time to wait for her and it's either a "yes" or a "no". He is a very uncaring person and shouldn't be in the medical field. My Dad was at Kaiser for over a week and a half waiting to have a procedure done to fix 2 fractured vertebrae. Garcia was suppose to setup an MRI and then get a Radiologist Interventional to perform the procedure. That was the plan. It didn't happen that way and it is way to long and complicated to explain our whole ordeal. Garcia made my Dad's life unbearable! Tomorrow he will be released and is going home. Kaiser will pay for in home rehab and for that we are thankful. I had done some research on the Rehab Facility in Laguna Woods and the reviews were horrific. So, it ends up being the better way to go for my Dad. Garcia cost the hospital a lot more than was necessary .... It could have been avoided if he had just taken the time and patience to listen to our concerns and responded to us in a professional manner.
