Dr. David Adam Gold, MD

I would give 0 stars if I could. My son broke his foot and initially we took him to the urgent care and then brought him to Dr. Gold for a 2nd opinion. The urgent care did an X-ray, provided a boot, and provided crutches as treatment. Dr. Gold did his own X-ray, looked at the X-ray and confirmed the fracture on his foot. He provided a note for school and said to return in 2 weeks for a follow up. Dr. Gold did not touch his foot, examine his foot or even look at his foot directly. It remained in his sock and with the boot back on after the X-ray. We were then charged over $700 for 'treating a foot fracture by splinting, casting' which was never done by Dr. Gold, he did an X-Ray and that was it (an X-ray which we paid for, as well as the office visit we paid for were not part of the other over $700 charge). We disputed this with the office and were eventually sent to collections because we wouldn't pay for services that were never actually performed by Dr. Gold or anyone else in his… office. Aside from the billing malpractice, we expressed to Dr. Gold more than once how much excruciating pain my son was in with the boot, even non weight bearing pain and he just dismissed this saying 'he has a broken foot of course it's going to hurt'. We then took my son to an actual foot expert who did a FULL exam of his foot visually and by actually touching it to ensure there were no other issues and he explained that my son was NOT treated properly by Dr. Gold and he required a soft cast under the boot for additional support to stabilize the break and ensure it heals. This added at least 2-3 weeks of healing time since it was not treated properly from the beginning. We have been fighting and disputing these charges for 7 months now.

One of the rudest, most arrogant doctors I’ve ever been to. He was very dismissive of my shoulder pain and did not believe me at all when I told him in great detail about my pain. I ended up going to a different orthopedic Doctor that performed surgery on me after my MRI with contrast and it turns out my shoulder was quite messed up. I don’t know why Dr. Gold was so arrogant, rude and uncaring but it is so baffling to me that he is a doctor because he obviously is not a people person nor does he actually want to help anybody. One of the worst, meanest, most uncaring, unprofessional and rude doctors I’ve ever been to!

Doesn't have empathy...or caring about the patient pain...

I am very unhappy with Dr. Gold’s pain management post operatively. I am struggling at physical therapy. Being in pain is hindering my progress. He would not entertain any medication to relieve my pain. So very unhappy and feeling like I am not being heard.

Listened to my issues and gave me a plan of action to get better.

I broke my shoulder this past Saturday and Dr. Gold's office gave me and my primary a complete run around regarding referral. They lied and said they need electronic referral from Aetna. Aetna HAS NEVER seen ANYTHING like this. After spending a week in severe pain with right shoulder brake with the anticipation of being seen by Dr. Gold, Aetna said there is no use going forward with this office and to find someone else. Easy for them to say, they aren't the ones walking around with a broken shoulder and in severe pain. JUST AWFUL that this office can do that to someone.

Outstanding experience and Outstanding follow-up !!! The staff and David Gold are fabulous! I highly recommend David Gold M.D.
