i’m so happy i was referred to Dr David K Hamilton.. he was very prompt - efficient - concerned & caring.. he is the best!!! my surgery went very well with no complications.. he & his staff (Erin & Nicole) took wonderful care of me..

Dr. Hamilton is disrespectful. non-empathetic, and non-caring. He does not listen and does not include care givers in the plan of care. He did not properly treat pre op or post-op pain. I would be careful if you choose to proceed with this physician. There are many others at UPMC that I would choose.

Disrespected, left without a plan of care post surgery. Unethical and evasive. Would NEVER recommend. Look elsewhere

Before you let this doctor fuse L3,L4,L5, and S1 in your back get multiple 2nd opinions, including doctors outside UPMC if you can. Don't believe him when he says that you will be in Mercy rehab post sugery for several weeks if your insurance approves. It is not based on insurance approval but rather a Mercy rehab board which will only approve severe cases. I asked a lot of questions regarding my L5 S1 slippage. Almost a year later I still have lots of issues. My last follow up a couple months ago amounted to Dr. Hamilton finally head on addressing those issues with 3 minutes in the exam room and referring me elsewhere stating the problem is not my back. A referral woild have been nice a long time ago for the same issue I had for many months. And by the way, the referral doctor was awful, so I found my own outside of UPMC for the first time ever.

Shouldn't be allowed to Practice medicine anywhere. He ruined my life. Radiologists 4 of them every time I had imagining they were worse the the ones before. But according to him everything was fine. All B.S.! Avoid him at all cost!

Dr. Hamilton did not examine my illness correctly or thoroughly. After my visit with him, his neglect of my condition led me to painful, crippling and, surgery. If Dr. Hamiliton would have been fixated on making patients well, I would not be in worse health than before my visit to his office. He also lies on his medical reports. Beware before you agree to see him!!! Make your appt with a professional Nuerosurgeon!!
