Dr. David Todd Hammond, MD

My Husband came to him for help with physical and mental issues, drinking problem, and sleeping issues. He sent him to a sleep clinic where he was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea. He did not follow up on his sleeping, he just continued to prescribe him sleeping pills which has made his sleep apnea and blood pressure worse. He put him on several other prescriptions with lots of side effects. He did not advocate for AA or better nutrition or improving lifestyle. He just continued to shove all kinds of pills at him and not look into or talk to me about what it was doing to him.

Hammond would probably do better at another provider as it doesn't appear that he gets great support. However, he prescribed the wrong needles for injections. I tried to remedy but the office staff at Esse Health seemed inept (and kind mad all of the time). Geez, I simply called my urologist and it was fixed instantly. It just seems like Hammond goes through the motions and may have a bit of strip mall doctor-Itis. PS Full disclosure, i just left Hammond's practice as I started questioning his interest...seemed lik it was his and perhaps not mine.

I have seen Dr. Hammond for about 21 years now I think. My name is Jeff Peterman of Barnhart, MO. As far as bed side manner goes I have never dealt with any doctor with a better one than him. I am 55 years old now. He is an easy going, straight talking doctor and I really like him. He is always on the money as far as my issues have come. I have had a lot of issues too.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hammond for 15 years. I have always felt comfortable discussing any problems with him. He is knowledgeable, and he will thoroughly explain any questions I have. I have complete trust in him.

My 21 yr old son come out crying very upset first visit dr hammond told him problems were psychological said he was rude and felt he didn't listen to him

I would highly recommend Dr. Hammond to anyone. He is our physician for the entire household and everyone just loves him. He is caring, thorough, & extremely knowledgeable of his profession. He is everything you would want your doctor to be. I feel very fortunate to have him.
