Dr. David James Hoyt, MD

Went for ear pain, runny nose, post nasal drip and scratchy throat. He whipped around and said “I can’t treat you for all of those. You will need to pick one to focus on. Which is bothering you the worst?” All of them I said because they are related. He said people want to come in here and optimize my time and get everything done at one visit. It doesn’t work that way And I have 3 people in waiting room!” I was speechless in his tone and disrespect and dismissive manner. I said I will come back another day. He told me to have a nice day and didn’t even look up. I have been a patient there for several years and he can be rude and arrogant, but his office is convenient. Most of the time his wife and rest of staff are rude as well. Shocking to say the least. Definitely has a problem.

Saw me on short notice with a time-sensitive travel deadline. Was able to evaluate me, send me for a same day CT, then squeeze me in for follow-up the next day to ensure I was able to travel. Awesome doctor and staff!

My husband just came out of ICU for an infection in his mouth. They called an ENT for this. This Dr Hoyt walked in, looked up his nose, in his mouth and ACTUALLY SAID, " You should go to John's Hopkins for this. Just put warm compresses on for your pain." This is after 3 different antibiotics for this infection. Hes a joke!!!!

Wish I could find a primary doctor who is as personalable as Dr. Hoyt. Great doctor.

I have seen doctor Hoyt for a few years now for various issues.. He is very kind, takes the time to listen to all concerns, is very reassuring and just a wonderful all around nice doctor. He seems to be very knowledgeable too. However, his office staff leaves a lot to be desired. I have had one person be rude and the others are just like "whatever, Idon't care." There is one person who is very nice

I feel like my experience with Dr Hoyt himself was average. Though he never scheduled a follow up after my sons Tonsil and adenoid surgery, My experience with his staff was HORRIBLE!!!!!!! His office manager hung the phone up on me. They failed to submit one of our bills to our insurance company and failed to ever bill us. Then 6 months later I started receiving calls from a collection agency. I had no idea what they were talking about. I called the office to simply get a copy of this bill and find out what was going on. The woman was EXTREMELY rude to me. I have never been talked to in the manner she talked to me!!!

Dr. Hoyt took plenty of time to talk with me about my problem, I didn't have a long wait and the staff was very courteous.

Very efficient and caring, a pleasure to see

Dr Hoyt is very friendly and well knowledgable. Waiting time is excellent however office staff could be more friendly and courteous, I prefer his Belair office as it is not crowded and waiting time is good I would recommend Dr Hoyt to all.
