Dr. David Walter Key, MD

After a poor hurried visit with him, my VA Urologist Dr Reser told me to go to Dr Weiss for my prostate cancer. Dr Key is more like a manager than a doctor.

MY OPINION IS THAT HE IS A IS NOT A VERY GOOD DOCTOR. HE CALLS HIS PATIENTS BUB. I'M HAVING A SERIOUS PROBLEM LOCATING OFFICE RECORDS. WHAT I HAVE FOUND ARE VERY INCOMPLETE. BEWARE

Dr. Key is the best! He's done kidney stone surgery on me twice and will soon do a TUIP procedure for a prostate/bladder issue. He always takes time to explain things in laymen's terms and brings humor to lighten what can be a stressful situation. For all of those on here complaining about wait times, I would remind you that the urology shortage in the country (and in the Dayton area in particular) is pretty critical so 30-60 minute waits seem to be a small ask for such good care.

Dr. Key made me feel very comfortable and reassured. Straight to the point! Not that I want to have that experience again, but if I do, I would definitely want Dr. Key performing the surgery. Well done! Thank you!

Dr. Key threatened me the very first and only time I talked to him. I had been sitting in his exam room for around an hour when I decided to open the door and check the hall to see if I could figure out why the doctor was running an hour and a half late for a simple procedure consultation. It was almost 5pm, and I was afraid I they were going to be locking up. When I opened the door I saw a man who looked doctor-ish in the hall, so I shut the door and waited. Next thing I know, this man, without identifying himself, has opened the exam room door to tell me, "You're next. If you're going to start this relationship off by slamming doors and furniture around, we don't need to have one." I didn't slam the door and I don't know what furniture he was talking about. I asked him if he was Dr. Key. He said he was. I verified he wasn't going to bill me for keeping me sitting around pointless for an hour and a half, and I ended the relationship. I prefer my medical professionals… to be professional. The office staff is nice, tho!

He is upfront kind wonderful man he laid down all the information made it plain and simple Love him and his staff!!!! Smiles all the way around

I would recommend Dr. Key highly! He explains things very well and takes time with you if you need to ask questions. I've been with Dr. Key for 20+ years and will continue with him.

Not impressed, experiences make you sense that it's all about getting you in and OUT! Assembly line process...cha-Ching!

My observation is one where he caters to performing before his staff and shows little interest in his patient other than ushering you out of the exam room quickly. He seems to become irritable when questioned and attempts to belittle the patient with an aire of superiority. Spare yourself a lot of grief and avoid this poor excuse of a doctor.

Dr. Key is very knowledgeable, competent & efficient & friendly. Recommend!
