Dr. David William Kunz, MD

Dr. Kunz saved my life. I had serious medical problems that started over 20 years ago. He is the one Doctor that never gave up on me. I am doing so good today and I’m so thankful to have him as my Doctor. I also love his PA Rebecca. They treat you physically, emotionally and spiritually.

I didn't see Dr Kunz at first. I couldn't wait the five months to see him so saw Rebecca Cowart, the nurse practitioner. I was very disappointed. She didn't seem to have listened to me and when I asked about it my chart, it didn't reflect reality. So, I made an appointment with the doctor. After the wait I was happy with Dr Kunz - he was nice and knowledgeable and made logical adjustments to my medication. Then I was pushed off to Dr Bliar. I liked Dr Blair but things just kept getting more confusing. The staff usually acts like they are doing you a favor. After seeing Dr Blair they couldn't seem to get my prescription right. I was told it was one thing. Then when getting the online synopsis it was like they were talking about a different patient. It was completely different than the visit (I take notes). I contacted them to correct it and was talked down to. I have been dealing with this for twenty years. I understand the process, the medication, and seem to be more knowledgeable… than most doctors I see. I wasn't sure if it was corrected but the right thing finally ended up at the pharmacy. Then, out of nowhere months later, I got a completely different prescription sent to pharmacy. When I called, they didn't want to be bothered and were condescending but looked at my chart and told me that the new rx was the prescription that had always been sent to the pharmacy. When I was trying to explain what happened I was corrected and told my prescription was generic which isn't accurate. NP THyroid is not generic Armour. That's like saying Pepsi is a generic of Coke. Just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it's generic. I checked with the pharmacy and found that they were lying about the original prescription. I am not sure if it is incompetence or arrogance but just glad I don't have something like diabetes that has more immediate and serious repercussions of a mixed up dose. The pharmacy had no record of the dose the office was telling me was sent in. I am so thankful I moved and was forced to find another doctor. This all happened over a period of 2 years. BTW, if you are not Christian you may find this office uncomfortable. They make it clear that that is their focus. Which makes their attitude even more confusing. They constantly play loud ads in the lobby. The phlebotomist was always the best part of my visit. She was nice and friendly.

The level of service is not what it used to be. You cannot get an appointment to see the Dr. The PA is booked so you see a nurse practitioner who makes you feel rushed. You are on hold forever. Patient portal does not work and how long does it take for someone to review blood work...

I have been a patient of Dr. Kunz for several years and highly recommend his practice. As a cancer survivor Dr. Kunz has been a great source of information and informed care concerning the long term effects of the cancer treatment I experienced.

He thinks outside the box and seems to really care about his patients. He also spends enough time with them to get a reasonable idea of what might really be the underlying cause of their health issues.

He has been our family doc for over 25 years. We love & recommend him to anyone & everyone. He is fabulous! He makes you feel important & cared for. He never rushes you through your appt., & answers all your questions. He doesn't rush to medicines & will offer natural ways of treating issues. He is not afraid to include other options in his recommendation for treatment. We love Dr. Kunz!

I was looking for a doctor to treat my thyroid disorder-- and one who wouldn't rush me at my appointment. I am so grateful to have found Dr Kunz. He listens to all of my concerns and doesnt mind answering all of my questions. Now my entire family sees him and we couldn't be more happy with the care we have received from him and his staff!

I expect to wait awhile knowing I will be treated to an unrushed, relaxed time with my doctor. He covers everything, every time. His diagnostic ability is best I've ever dealt with. My specialists have praised him to me and he works well with them. I see less of them since going to Dr. Kunz and my thyroid, cholesterol, etc. issues are much improved. Can't say enough good things.

Not happy with him anymore. You have to wait an eternity to see him once you get to the office. He is too much into blood testing without telling you what it is for, partnered with labs that are not covered with my insurance even though I clearly expressed the labs my insurance covered. You never get to talk to a real person. You have to leave a message and wait for someone to call,(or not call) you back.

Unlike the previous poster's comment, I have had the exact opposite experience. He is compassionate and very knowledgeable, having practiced for over 20 years in the field. He has treated me, my husband, and our four children for 15 years. We don't trust anyone else w/ our health needs like we do Dr Kunz.
