Dr. David Ira Margolin, MD

I HAVE NERVER BEEN TREATED SO DISCOURTIOUSLY BY ANYONE

Every person has a different opinion....I for one have been going to Dr. Margolin since 1999 and don't regret it for a minute. He has always been very kind and thoughtful. I have never felt rushed and all my questions have been answered when I leave his office. I lived in Fresno until 2001 and then moved to Morro Bay for 10 years and have lived in Manteca the past 3 years and yes I have gone to Dr. Margolin all those years. He has been an excellent doctor for me and I am sad to lose him as my doctor!

Thank goodness this dr has quit neurology as of 4-5-13!!! He changes his mind/opinion on the severity of alzheimers/dementia each visit. This doctor lead family to not believe us when we told them of the first few visits.. Different visits.. Different opinion!! He tore our family in half

while trying to describe my mother-in-law's actions during an emergency, which the details were a positive since she has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's by Dr. Margolin, I was interrupted by him so he could comment, "this is an awfully detailed description, what would be the point you're leading to? I described the same scenario with the same details to his nurse who let me finish and then remarked on the critical thinking process my mother-in-law exhibited. Margolin is not the best choice. It's pretty bad when even the patient realizes they are being talked to like a child. His 'caring' time with us was to recite the definition of a medication she was taking, then finally admitting one of the 'observations' he had of my mother-in-law could have been caused by the side effects he just read off about the medication she was taking. Save your money, time, frustration for someone who really cares.

I have been going to Dr. Margolin for about 15 years and have never had any problem. I totally disagree with what was written. When I phone because of a concern I immediately am put in touch with his nurse who phones me back with answers. Dr. Margolin always asks if I have any concerns ... I never feel rushed!

Horrible Bedside manner...did not listen to the family concerns. Felt he was more interested in gathering data for studies than concern for the patient. Closes early on Friday, closed weekends and in an emergency you have no way to reach the Dr. We now go to another Physician who treats the whole patient and not just the brain.

Negative attitude by the physician. Does not listen to patient or family. Misdiagnosis of patient that required a visit to a clinic in another city. More than one month to get medical records copied. I do not recommend Dr Margolin under any circumstances.

He is a very cut and dry physician who seems to see things in black and white and is not very open to family feedback. This is critical as the types of diagnoses he makes depend on patient feedback (example: alzheimers disease). He has a bedside manner that just barely is anything beyond professional and he seems to be more interested in obtaining research subjects rather than caring for patients.
