Dr. David Patrick Mccraney, MD

First doctor I have felt like really listened to me and wanted to help me. Went in for Trigeminal Neuralgia and he instantly knew what our plan would be moving forward. I mentioned things I had learned through my own research and he was willing to give me referrals for tests I wanted. He explained everything, made sure I understood and listened to my concerns.

McCraney calls me by name walks me to room, saying very little, has me take a seat... Q (McCraney): What can I do for you? A (patient): I'm here for follow up silence for a few moments as he sits directly across from me staring at me not saying anything Q (patient): Am I supposed to lead the session A (McCraney): Yes perplexed and taken aback... Q (patient): Am I supposed to ask questions and illicit response A (McCraney) Yes At this point, I had enough and walked out in disbelieve... let's just say, a physical altercation was not far off. I did not leave talk to Administrative Officer who didn't seem to see much wrong. I also talked to patient advocate who didn't seem too surprised. Was by PA that I would be contacted for follow-up, never was.

I'm perplexed by Dr. McCraney's reviews. I found him to be very patient, attentive, and concerned for my well being. As a patient, I seek the least invasive options, elect for no pain meds, and attempt to help myself through my behavior and choices. They only thing I've received from him was urging to take my condition serious with genuine sincerity with better than normal follow up by a physician.

This Dr was the most condescending individual I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. He treated me like I was a child. One of the worst experiences of my life!

Went in for a neurological check-up on some issues, I was told I was stupid and had no idea what I was talking about. Instead of helping with neurological issues he instead switched the appointment to me knowing nothing, because of some learning disability that he just decided I had. Instead of talking and listening to his patients he would rather say your dumb, just a learning disability leave my office. Wouldn't recommend him to anyone I care about.

"Dr." Mccrane has a god complex, doesn't listen and only talks down and belittles his patients. A perfect example of everything wrong with VA "doctor", wouldn't be surprised if he got fired, much deserved honestly if he does

Treats younger people like complete trash, he is a pompous moron. Said I had 3 chances to learn and if I said anything it was a stroke against me.

It was a horrible Dr visit. He doesn't ask patient no communicate, just keeps talking.
