Dr. David Anthony Mescher, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Mescher for years and I very much appreciate that he is straight forward and will tell me what I need to hear. On multiple occasions, he has eased my concern on minor ailments that will go away on their own and won't hesitate to advise/prescribe when it's an ailment that needs attention. He doesn't over-do it or over-doctor. He provides medical care and attention when it's needed.

It is mind blowing when you go in to see a doctor and is told you have a hole in your lung however there is nothing he can do. And in his second breath I’m told to go live my best life. What that made me feel was he was telling me to die. It is obvious that my coverage was not good enough so he treated me accordingly.

He is a perfect example of what is wrong with medicine. He either needs a serious refresher course or to retire. He is too far out of touch with medical advancements to be effective and treated me with such rudeness and indifference I felt like he didn't view me as a person but another dollar in his pocket. he sent me away with an obviously serious medical issue with absolutely no attempt to do anything. Thankfully I went elsewhere immediately otherwise who knows.

Very difficult to speak to. My father was hospitalized for weeks before we could chase him down to find out what was going on. The tag team of Weymer and Mescher means they can each push it off on the other and don't have to tell you what is going on. Then they "round" late at night or early in a.m. to avoid meeting family members. If they couldn't do more for my father why didn 't they send him home to die? We had to basically demand that they release him to a nursing home. My father's insurance was tooo good. They just held him to get paid. Never tried to figure out what was wrong or convey to family what to do.

Amazing care and followup by all the people in the practice! Everything is very easy. They all get the true meaning of providing health CARE!

I would not send a dog to this Doctor. His bedside manner is horrific, he doesn't treat a person like a human being but just like an necessary annoyance. Time to get out of the profession. He is horrible!!!
