Dr. David Hani Michel

I had knee surgery about a month ago, and Dr. David H. Michel, MD, with Austin Regional Clinic was my surgeon. I can't say enough good things about him! He did a fantastic job, and I was up and walking the same day.......WITHOUT a walker or cane! I have friends that have had knee replacement surgery and they said it took them 4 months to get to where I am, today. He kept me informed, set my expectations, and followed up on me. He is fantastic! Thanks, Dr. Michel!

Dr Michel is an excellent surgeon and compassionate doctor. He explained all the options to me and worked with me when I decided to go for the surgery. He explained the protocol; the surgery went very well and recovery has been amazing. I regained mobility quickly and was walking unassisted 2 days after the surgery. Quality of life is back. His appointments are on time, and his staff is excellent. Thank you Dr Michel!

I am very pleased with the care I received from Dr. Michel - before, during, and after THR. He was extremely patient in his dealings with me – I had a lot of trepidation about the surgery and had a lot of questions. He was always thorough in his explanations and never made me feel that I was taking up too much of his time. My new hip is virtually pain free and works great! I’m so happy I had the replacement, and I am so grateful to Dr. Michel.

Fantastic guy who pulls no punches. ,does a great job prior to and post op.. ask nurses at Seaton and they all speak highly of him. He did a great job on my knee replacement.

Dr. Michel is an excellent surgeon. He performed a total knee replacement 5 weeks ago and I have had very little pain. Did not need to use the strong painkillers. Range of motion has exceeded expectations. Knee feels great. Already walking 2 miles and riding my stationary bike 6 miles a day. Thanks Dr. Michel. Ready for the other knee!

When I went to see Dr. Michel I was in horrible pain and often could not get out of bed. Dr. Michel did a total hip replacement surgery and I am no longer in pain. I can walk. I have to build my strength up, but I am thrilled that there is no pain. It doesn’t hurt that he is good looking, too.

Dr. Michel performed a full right knee replacement for me and I can’t say enough good things about it and his work! I fully expected, based on what I had heard, that this surgery and recovery would be harder and longer than the partial left knee replacement that I had four years previously (by a different doctor) but to my surprise and gratitude, this full knee replacement was less painful, I had more flexibility and a quicker recovery! I can’t recommend Dr. Michel enough, he is a very skilled surgeon and a caring, thorough doctor.
