Dr. David Takeshi Miyama, MD

Did not listen or want to answer questions. Tried to end the appointment almost immediately. If the condition was not appropriate for his knowledge, that should have been addressed with the referring doctor when I first scheduled. Instead of having me wasted two hours of time with travel and $200-300 on the deductible to get no information and be treated like I'm the inconvenience.

I can only describe this as the most bizarre, unhelpful appointment of my life. Fundamentally, Dr. Miyama has poor verbal communication. He seemed irritated by my symptoms rather than interested in understanding them. After ten minutes (plus some time for equipment malfunction) he walked away and I didn't even realize the appointment was over! Please read the other negative reviews; I have NEVER posted a negative review on any site before this, so that is an indication of the extremely disappointing quality of this appointment. Regarding the practice: My appointment was more than an HOUR late. They didn't call to notify me, and the aide (not the doctor) made a weak excuse. Also, the woman at the check-out desk did not act surprised when I expressed deep disappointment and surprise. I got the impression that my response was not unusual. I will complain to Ascension and refuse to pay the bill.

I feel that this doctor takes the time necessary to listen to you and then explain things to you. I also felt comfortable with having a procedure done inside my nose which had that not been a good experience I would not have gone back to see him. Overall I feel he is kind, compassionate and someone you can easily have a conversation with. I trust him and I felt well taken care of.

This doctor was awful, terrified my son and myself about having a tonsillectomy. No bedside manner. Cold and unhelpful.

I am thrilled with the level of care I have received from both Dr Miyama and the staff... I have a tough case and he was very thorough, caring and available to answer questions...

Useless place, useless Dr.

Worst experience ever.

He seemed very good and gave me a good diagnosis. It wasn't my inner ear like I thought it was which was a relief. He saw me without much notice.I will see him again. I feel it is too soon to say fantastic. Maybe after I have seen him a few times,

Im sad to report much like everyone else this guy was a waste of time. I was referred to him for enlarged tonsil, he did pretty much what everyone else said walked in, sprayed sh*t in my nose, put the tube down there and basically told me nothing was wrong. He said he didn't want to do surgery. He didn't listen to my issues at all. He heard what he needed to hear and sent me on my way with a nasal spray and citing I should have a sleep study done. Did he tell me who I could go to for that? no. He is leaving me to do all the leg work to figure out my issues for myself. Writing me off with allergies. I am also breast feeding he couldn't even tell me if the medication I was given is safe and told me to ask my obgyn. LAZY. I will not be following up.
