Dr. David Stuart Morrison, MD

I transfered to Morrison in my third trimester, I was at first, slightly off put by how short and dismissive he was with me and some tones associated with comments about my pregnancy. I dismissed the hard feelings chalking them up to being new and not really knowing him. Well that feeling has never gone away, it has actually significantly increased and become more apparent with each interaction I have with Dr. Morrison. Each visit I am half heartedly greeted, quickly run through any concerns he has, measured, and scheduled for another appointment after being almost lectured like a toddler about some issues that I am attempting to help fix (GD). There is no personability, no patient relationship attempt, or any type of genuine concern for any questions or concerns I may have. Not to mention a concerning few days led me to seek advice at another hospital only to be told after the nurse spoke with him that I should "seek my care at his providing hospital because he gets upset when… patients bounce around because he doesn't get paid." Now I fully understand the importance of a paycheck, but that comment made me feel even more like a number and not a patient. I chose to go to the closest facility to my home because of the symptoms I was experiencing, I knew that by the time I reached Trios I would feel somewhat better and just a general uncomfortability rather than what I was feeling over the last few days as well as the moments before I arrived at KADLEC. I would not recommend Dr. Morrison to anyone who is a first time mom, or who enjoys the personability between provider and patient that ultimately builds trust and care. Although, his MA is amazing, very quiet and reserved but extremely friendly and helpful.

Great doctor! I wish I would have found him earlier!

I have seen 2 of the doctors at Morrison's practice and both are very caring and easy to talk to. The problem at this office is the staff. I am almost never able to get refills for my medications over the phone, I am told that I will get a call back and never do. I am seldom greeted when I walk in for an appointment, and have even had the front desk girls completely ignore me or give dirty looks when I sign in (my husband has noticed this too). Many times they are talking amongst themselves and looking up things on the internet. Also, their ultrasound tech is generally nice, but will not do much to get good images of the baby. Other techs I have gone to will ask me to walk around and stretch to try to get baby to move, but this one just rushes out of the room as soon as she can. It is unfortunate that the staff is so bad, because I really do like my doctor, but I am seriously considering finding another office because I feel so uncomfortable dealing with the rest of the staff.

Dr. Morrison delivered our daughter and helped us through two miscarriages. He is a very smart doctor and we trust him. He is also a very nice person.
