Dr. Richard Carmen Lorenzo Jr, DO

Hands down, the best OB in the Tricities! As a patient of about 7 years now I have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Lorenzo. Whether for regular or atypical appointments he has always been supportive, informative, and has a great bedside manner. He is calm, kind and listens to your concerns, always gives you the chance to ask questions and fully answers them. For years I have been urged by friends and relatively religious family to see a female OB instead. I finally heeded their words and tried one- all I can say is I would never do that again and I prefer to not see anyone but Dr. Lorenzo! If you've had a similar experience and are told females just "understand" better, please understand you would be sacrificing quality of care for an old wives tale. In my experience, Dr. Lorenzo will make you way more comfortable and provide you with better care! On another note, his office staff is great too. They have always been friendly and his nurses are very supportive. I've found… the level of services are just comparatively better than other practices, including wait and scheduling time. I can always get in sooner and have never had to wait on urgent matters. Definitely recommend!

Dr. Lorenzo's staff was great, they were very friendly and accommodating. My 2nd appt with the Dr he came in a a very clear bad mood, gave me some bad news and just dropped it on me with really no sympathy. I was not comfortable to ask any questions and felt like I was bothering him being there. I had to ask me what my blood results were that he ordered. He definitely had not looked at them yet and had to pull them up on his nurses computer...and that was the whole purpose of my visit. He took 30 sec to review and said we were good. I will not be returning to a doctor I felt I was bothering.

I had such a great experience for my first delivery. The Staff is friendly and I was always able to be seen quickly at my appointments. Dr. Lorenzo helped me and my husband to make difficult decisions regarding our pregnancy. He explained everything to us and was very caring. He always had time for our questions and made our first birth experience the best ever. Thank you so much.
