Dr. David G. Nazarian, MD

I'm in more pain now than before the surgery. While I see some positive reviews, unfortunately I cannot add to the positive reviews. Dr Nazarian performed a knee reconstruction on my left knee in October of 2023. It has now been 11 months, and I am still not "back to normal". Still experiencing stiffness and pain. I also did months of P. T. but this did not seem to help. One of my biggest frustrations is that Dr. Nazarian did not schedule any follow up exams, except to remove the staples. The only time I saw him after the surgery was when I called for an appointment because there was an issue. First, I experienced bleeding from the incision. He addressed that issue. Next, I experienced an accumulation of fluid around the incision. A large "bubble" of fluid appeared below my knee cap. I called for an appointment and the doctor drained the fluid. When the pain persisted, I called for yet another appointment. After an exam, Dr. Nazarian said the pain was due to a "hip problem." I… honestly got upset when he made that recommendation, but I followed through with the doctor that Dr. Nazarian recommended and who did an injection into my hip. That did absolutely nothing to alleviate the pain. I followed up with Dr. Nazarian again, and he then recommended a pain management doctor who would perform an "ablation of the sensory nerves around the knee." Of course, this is a totally "symptomatic" approach to my pain. Dr. Nazarian never once considered that there may be something wrong with the knee itself. Following Dr. Nazarian's advice, I had the ablation done. Of course, since the nerves were chemically destroyed, the pain was reduced by about 85%. But I am told, this is a temporary fix. It may last only 6 months or so, or perhaps a year. Never once did Dr Nazarian take any images of my knee, nor perform a complete exam of the knee to see if it was his handiwork that was causing my pain. What frustrates me the most, is that I was a regularly active person prior to my knee issues......I walked trails, I biked, I play racquetball, pickleball three times a week, worked out at a gym, and now simply walking around the supermarket is a challenge. If you ae considering knee replacement, do your due diligence, get several opinions. I hope you have a better outcome

Dr Nazariam is excellent doctor . Everyone in the office is very professional. He operated in my left knee replacement and now Iam having him replace my right knee.

If the possibility to leave zero stars existed, I would be leaving zero stars. I had my hip replaced March 2022, and I’m in more pain than I was prior to surgery. After two years of experiencing excruciating hip, knee and pelvic floor pain, Dr. David Nazarian couldn’t tell me why I was in this much pain so I went to his P.A. Ryan Fletcher. Ryan couldn’t tell me why either. They said my hip replacement looked great. They also couldn’t tell me why the very small meniscus tear in my knee that I’ve had for 30 years was bothering me like it had been ripped apart. After finding absolutely no answers I did the only thing I could do and I requested my medical charts from 1978 until current. What I discovered was this…On six different MRI Reports (since 2016) it had stated that I had a Müllerian Duct cyst in my midline, almost attached to my left. The actual source of ten years of pain. The cyst is pressing on my perennial nerve causing indescribable pain in my hip, knee, foot and it sends… my entire pelvic floor into disruption (which includes constipation, urination problems and severe testicle pain). The stark realization I have come to at just 46 years old is this. Despite the fact that I have a rare disease that only 200 people in the world share (CLOVES Syndrome), Dr. David Nazarian did a hip replacement that I did not need. Had he slowed down, asked more questions, taken a look at any of the previous hip MRIs, and there were five of them, he would have seen the cyst. He did not clearly and thoughtfully read my medical reports that were all available to him. I went to see Nazarian last week and Rothman sure has a sense of humor asking me to fill out a survey. Two things occurred at the Appt. 1. Dr. Nazarian told me had no idea what a Mullerian Duct cyst was however after some discussion, he tried to claim that it was something that a urologist should have taken care of previously (Or in the future). When I told Nazarian I did not need the hip replacement, he stared at me blankly and said nothing. He admitted that he did not see the cyst on my MRIs claiming that they weren’t available to him. 2. Dr. Nazarian took ZERO responsibility for this MAJOR MEDICAL OVERSIGHT. He was defensive about almost everything I brought up. Now as it stands, I’m desperately trying to find a doctor to perform this very rare surgery and I am completely lost. Müllerian Duct cysts are generally found in women and my Urologist has never seen it. I have begun reading research papers from medical students who have dealt with this issue and have had no luck in contacting anyone. If there’s anyone out there who knows anything about Müllerian Duct issues, please be in touch with me if you can. I will say one last thing about this issue and it’s the most important thing I can say about Healthcare in America… PLEASE BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE

I will be having a second surgery by Dr. Nazarian in whom I have complete trust. He is succinct, professional and knowledgeable.

Today my visit was excellent. Everybody was very kind and courteous called me in a timely manner to be seen and my surgeon. David Nazarian is the best in the business. I would not chose anyone else to do my surgery but him excellent surgeon.

Dr Nazarian was highly recommended by many people for my mother’s knee surgery. Despite her reservations to do knee replacement surgery in her early 80’s, Dr Nazarian with his kind and professional disposition, spoke with her and addressed all her concerns. We were very pleased with the outcome of the surgery and his constant concern for our mother’s well being. Dr. Nazarian is an exceptional surgeon and his staff were also quite helpful.

Dr. Nazarian is an excellent doctor I have been seeng him to help me through the after effects of a total knee revision done by another Doctor that did not heal as he said it would. Dr. Nazarian has been very thorough, that has made himself available to me and is very patient. I highly recommend him and his office,staff.

Dr.Nazarian was very informative. He presented the information in layman’s terms and demonstrated what my surgery would consist of. He was also very personable.
