Dr. David Albert Ochoa, MD

I have been to Dr. Ochoa 3 or 4 times in the past 2 years, always for sick visits. My complaints are: He does not take the time to listen to my questions or objections, is dismissive of my concerns, prescribes drugs that are too strong and unnecessary for my condition, and lastly, does not give me time to voice objections or ask questions about the treatment he is recommending. I went for a sinus infection and was prescribed an antibiotic so strong it's used for Anthrax infections. Then when I request a weaker antibiotic I get a lecture of how there aren't different strengths and I'm probably having anxiety, not a reaction the drug. Also, gave me an injection of steroid for my sinus infection and then coded it as an allergy shot. I did not have allergies. Said shot gave me intense reactions for the next week and I never got a call back from the doctor addressing my concerns. Also I got billed for the shot because they coded it a certain way and my insurance wouldn't pay it. When I… called the doctor's office they refused to change the coding and said I would have to take it up with the insurance. Now I have to go through a lengthy appeals process for a shot I didn't really want and that gave me a bad reaction.

Dr. Ochoa moves quick but he will stop and answer any and all questions, without looking or acting frustrated. He is an amazing doc!

Why do they schedule 5 people for the exact same time and how does the staff determine who of the six goes first? Our time is valuable too, we wait over and hour in the front waiting room, at least 1/2 hour or longer in the examining room. He comes in, spends maybe 2 minutes (usually less), wait another 10-15 minutes for your prescription. News flash: your rooms are not sound proof.

You need to spend some more time with your patients. My wait is always 30min to an 1 1/2 hour, just for you to run n and out. You need to do less talking and more listening with your patents. You have forgotten a number of times to prescribe me meds for symptoms that I or my children were having due to you RUSHING. I feel as a parent I should report you. Maybe you shouldn't be teaching students while working with patents. Thank u for reading!!
