Dr Shapiro is not only an excellent surgeon but he is also very kind and reassuring. I was so thankful that he was the doctor who took care of me when I broke my wrist.

Im a musician, I received a gunshot wound to my hand 4 other surgeons said it was not possible to repair. Dr Shapiro said he could fix it. I can once again play guitar with 4 fingers after 14 years of thinking Id never play the same. he gave me the gift of music back !! Great Person, God gifted surgeon

I had a prior injury to my left wrist in 2010 where I had a plate and ten screws put into my wrist. I then in 2012 had issues again in the left wrist where I had to end up having carpel tunnel surgery done. Then recently I moved to OH from Fl where I again began experiencing some pain on the left wrist again. I began to look up an orthopedic surgeon in Northern Ohio that accepted my insurance, and came across Dr Shapiro. I read all the reviews I could find on him, before I made my initial appointment. Getting into an appointment was a bit of a challenge due to the fact he is booked up through several locations . Once I got into his office for a routine check up on the wrist it was a 30 minute wait time in the waiting room. Once I got back into the actual exam room I ended up waiting again for 20 minutes or so which was frustrating, but once he came in he introduced himself asked me what was going on, and then he did do some routine strength tests on my left hand to determine how… much strength I had. he began to tell me that the plate was causing some issues which were effecting my movement and strength, and what I was experiencing was normal and he recommended to me to have my plate and screws removed, with the likelihood of the issue being resolved.. I was relieved to know that that was all that was needed, and nothing more. He immediately scheduled me for surgery which ended up being for the following week, which was a relief to me due to I was in pain for the last month trying to get into his office for a solution to the issue. I am thankful that he got me into surgery rather quickly to resolve the pain I was experiencing. I would recommend him to my family and friends. I will warn them on the wait time I experienced and the difficulty to get an appointment, but the overall issue was being resolved much faster than I had ever anticipated.

Best hand man Ive been to for my CT but could not afford to wait as long as 2 hours for shots that took 3 minutes and without even a perfunctory apology for the tardiness. If you are a professional person who believes your time is as valuable as any doctors, and that competency includes scheduling your time wisely and showing respect for your customers, then this is not the doctor for you. When asked why the doctor, and by extension the institution, disrespected the patients time I was told by the doctor himself, if you want the best youll wait like the rest. There you have it all in that little quote.
