Dr. David Stampfl, MD

In our experience he doesn't care to take the time to answer questions. Doesn't give you all details of what is found during exam. Would not be our choice if we'd had one. Seen during emergency situations usually. To be fair, he did correct the issue when my son hemorrhaged after a colonoscopy.

If not for going to see him I would still be taking crohn's medicine for which I had been misdiagnosed from another dr, I was taking medicine for three years for something I don't have. Another time I had a specialist take out my galbladder, a week later I almost died because the dr didn't close my procedure right and left a small hole where the poison leaked into my body, I was rushed to the ER in pain I can't even discribe! if not for Dr Stampl finding the hole and repairing, I probably would not be here writing this.

I passed out from a bleeding ulcer, was taken by ambulance to the hospital where I was treated by Dr. Stampfl and have had no further problems in the following 20+ years.

I will not be seeing Dr. Stampfl again. He did not take my accute HCV at all seriously. When I asked about potential kidney problems (Hepatorenal Syndrome) he looks at my charts (which were almost a year old) and said there was no worry, and no need to do any follow up to test for HRS. All I received from Dr. Stampfl was a smile as he looked away. He did not ask at all how I had been supplementing my own health to keep creatinine levels high. Just another medical professional who values money more than your own time or health. If you are an HCV patient, DO NOT see this Dr. You will not get help unless you have premium insurance or are ready to let them do a liver biopsy which will only cause more complications. I was in tears upon his five minute meeting with me, taken to another room to have labs drawn, and when I walked out of the room there was a security guard present. Seriously, this guy is a joke.

Dr. Stampfl did my last colonoscopy and it was successful. I woke up during a procedure done by another doctor and was worried it might happen again but the staff at Belin Medical Center in Oconto took good care of me.

I had a routine colonoscopy and my colon was punctured I realize risks of surgery but due to the mistake made I was hospitalized several times and had surgeries all due to this While I had insurance co pays are not covered and now I owe over $3000.00 due to his mistake I tried to get them to waive the copays as we are on very limited income They do not care I have to pay

Had an upper and lower GI with biopsies taken. Procedure went smooth and staff was professional, courteous and knew what they were doing. Dr. Stampfl followed up with me after the procedure and was informative about what was done. However, he was only concerned about confirming my diagnosis and not following up with existing symptoms nor seemed to care about setting up a long term care plan for my diagnosis.

I have been seeing Doctor David Stampfl and there nursing staff for well over 10 years for periodic endoscopy and colonoscopies. I Have never had an issue or any problem during my procedures. They made sure I was always comfortable and and in good hands. Dr. Stampfl has my most complete trust. I highly recommend one of the best doctors in Gastroentology. he comes and talks to you after the procedure on how things look. A good follow up person to my my past reflux surgery in 2002.

This was the most gawd-awful experience I've ever had with a simple routine endoscopy ever! Between the crabby old nurse (Christine - who doubles as an anesthesiologist btw), I actually came out of anesthesia, woke up with the tube down my neck - gagging, but instead of putting me back under, she told me to just relax and breathe through my nose - threw a clipboard on my leg, snatched a medical device from my daughter and tossed it under my gurnee/bed, and then the "good doctor" told me everything was fine and walked out of the room. I could get better care down in the Amazon for a fraction of the price! Never again! Oh yeah, I gave ease of appointment a 4 star rating as I now understand how easy it was to get an appointment on such short notice!
