Amazing experience with Dr. Tenniswood and West Florida General Surgery. Very friendly and helpful office staff made each visit a breeze. I was in and out quickly with all my questions answered. I had an Inguinal Hernia that Dr Tenniswood repaired robotically. I was able to stop all pain medication after less than four days and felt completely back to normal in a week. Hardest part is remembering to take it easy for a few more weeks. I had the same surgery on the other side several years ago and my recovery time was months with the first two weeks in excruciating pain. Big difference this time.

Dr. Tenniswood was very professional, had a great manner in talking with me for my upcoming surgery. He answered all my questions, took time to make sure I understood what was going to happen and followed up with me afterwards. I highly recommend him and his medical team!

Those of us who put off surgery because in our opinion the results are worse than the present conditions are rewarded in our correctness more than we would rather. l declined hernia surgery for almost ten years until the threat of a strangulated hernia was thrown at me. And, imagine my surprise that within months of my procedure by Dr. Tenniswood, l have a half a grapefruit sized lump protruding because of mesh migration. l am right back where l started with the intrepid anticipation of doing it all over again, this time l can assure you it will not be Tenniswood presiding.

Dr. Tenniswood and his staff were great. His diagnostic was fast and to the point. They schedule me the next day and all the staff in West Florida Hospital were great. Best operation that I ever had, and I got seven. Not looking forward for the next one, but if I have to, he will be my firts choice.
