Dr. David Allen Thomas, DO

He was very caring and concerned, I liked him very much. Don't understand all the negative reviews. I'm looking forward to treatment from this office. Women behind the counter were also super nice and very respectful and patient with me.

Very rude and disrespectful. Doesn’t care for his staff properly

This doctors bedside manner is absolutely terrible. He is rude and I would not recommend seeing him.

Dr. Thomas was highly recommended to me by a Neurologist that I highly regarded, who practiced in a different subfield. He noted that I'd have to be willing to wait, but that Dr. Thomas is worth it. I couldn't agree more. I was treated very thoughtfully by everyone, and I was taken on time. I initially sat with Dr. Thomas' Nurse Practitioner, to fill in background information. When Dr. Thomas came into the room, I saw a a kind, gentle man who was interested in learning about my issues and assessing how he might be able to assist me. For the previous 8 months, I had been looking for the expertise that I had finally found. He laid out a plan with me, and told me how he thought he could help. Of course, we'd have to have some tests done, but I knew I was in the care of someone who had my best interests at heart. I have several issues that I'm dealing with, but I didn't want to deflect Dr. Thomas to issues that others were attending to. He asked, and I said I don't need… to get into that, but he persisted. I Cliff Noted the story leading to my inflamed joints. He nodded his head and said, “Don’t worry too much about that, it will fade away over time.” I had seen that conclusion on-line, but the two rheumatologists I'd visited many times had no answers. Now they do.

Dr Thomas is very rude abrupt He is so removed from the first time experience of a patient having a emergency. He doesnt like to be disturbed when hes on call..His chairside manner is quite disturbing. His answer to everything is go to the Er.. When at the Er. They direct you to follow up with neuro?? Would not recommend him . he needs to be pushing paper not dealing with patients..

He kept interrupting me, reported my symptoms incorrectly to the government (resulting in me having to now fight to get my license back), constantly interrupts me when I am trying to discuss my symptoms... I came in today, a MONTH later, AFTER all the tests, and the PA asks me again when the last episode occurred for a symptom I DO NOT HAVE and kept correcting her on last time. The initial visit, the doctor didn't ask me about my symptoms at all. The second visit, he threatened to leave because I asked him to stop interrupting me. Horrible, arrogant, awful doctor. Do not visit him. Don't know about anyone else in his practice, but save yourself the headache and risk of losing your driver's license. He does not want to work WITH you. He really doesn't care about you at all.

Dr. Thomas as very personable, he addressed all of my concerns that another Neurologist would not. He put a plan in place for me to get better.

Our 7yr old was diagnosed by one of Dr. Thomas' partners as having ADD / ADHD - not a surprising diagnosis to us. When our son reacted badly to Ritalin - our pediatrician suggested that a neurologist or psychologist would be better at managing his medications..we were not completely on the medication band wagon to begin with but wanted to help our child. Looking past the fact that we waited one hour past our appt. time - Dr. Thomas literally spent 15mins w/ us - was insulting to my husband, didn't speak to our son and handed us a prescription and told us he would be fine. He wasn't - a week of meds later we had an emotional, socially withdrawn reck of a child - we called the office 2x as we were very concerned and here it is 5 days later - no call back. Needless to say we had stopped the medication on our own and ended up dealing w/ our regular pediatrician after 48hrs of not hearing from Dr. Thomas. What kind of a doctor does this - esp. when the pt is a child? Shinning textbook… example of an arrogant physician who has lost touch w/ his patients and their families -

When I first saw him it was in his office however he was still with another patient and he didn't introduce himself so I didn't realize he was the doctor. The office was extremely cluttered and disorganized. The desk was more of a catch all than a functional work area. Even the exam table had stacks of papers on it. It's how my office looks and that's not something to aspire to. So my first impressions were he's disorganized and lacks social skills. But once we got to my case, it was a total turn about. He actually listened and took a thorough approach to my problem. I am still seeing him and feel confident with him managing my care.

Dr Thomas has been very thoughful and caring during the visits with my dad. He always reminds me to call if there any questions or concerns.
