Dr. Dawn Yvette Alden

Dr. Dawn Alden is a licensed naturopathic physician who earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine (ND) from Bastyr University, California — San Diego in 2018. She also holds a B.A. in Biological Sciences and Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Dr. Alden’s practice is guided by the core Principles of Naturopathic Medicine, with particular emphasis on Vis Medicatrix Naturae (the healing power of nature), Tolle Causam (identify and treat the cause), treating the whole person, and prevention. She believes that with the right tools and individualized guidance, every patient has the capacity to heal.

Dr. Alden provides comprehensive, evidence-informed care using a range of modalities, including laboratory testing, personalized nutrition and nutraceuticals, exercise prescriptions, botanical medicine, homeopathy, prescription medications when appropriate, prolotherapy, ozone therapy, and intravenous and injection therapies. She coordinates care with other …disciplines and will refer patients as needed to chiropractic, acupuncture, and counseling services. Dr. Alden is certified in ozone therapy and is a graduate of Dr. Nasha Winters’ Metabolic Approach to Cancer Physician Mastermind program.

Her clinical focus includes integrative oncology, sports-related injuries (with experience in prolotherapy), hormonal imbalances, thyroid disorders, diabetes and metabolic health, liver conditions, and long COVID. Dr. Alden emphasizes root-cause assessment and individualized treatment plans that combine rehabilitative approaches, metabolic optimization, and supportive therapies to improve function, reduce symptoms, and enhance long-term health outcomes.

Committed to expanding access to naturopathic care, Dr. Alden is an active member of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association (CNDA), the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANP). She has participated in advocacy efforts in both Sacramento and Washington, DC, and draws on a background in politics to advance policies that make preventive, integrative care more available. Outside the clinic, she enjoys Zumba, hiking, trying new restaurants, and traveling with family and friends.
