Dr. Deepak Gupta, MD

Dr. Gupta has a complete lack of compassion. Among other unhelpful remarks, he told me 5-10 times that I needed to exercise and have a "positive attitude" to treat a chronic condition I've had for years. Each time, I told him I do exercise, at least 30-60 minutes a day, and I used to exercise more than that before I developed this disease. I am not overweight either. He also asked me to stop taking medications that work without suggesting an alternative. He may be knowledgeable, but he has no business being a doctor if he's not willing to listen to patients and at least try to treat their symptoms.

Doctor Gupta is the worst rheumatologist I've ever dealt with, he has mis diagnosed me and his basically said use meditation to fix my medical problems. He did not even do a proper evaluation, did not completely ask me the issues, I already had made up his mind, what was wrong with me and prescribed an anti depressant. This man should not be allowed to be in the medical profession ever again, unfortunately, Kaiser Permanente has about the worst doctors when it comes to pain issues I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Could not in good conscience recommend this man. How he got a doctorate, I do not know this man is clueless. Horrible experience will not ever go back to him horrible horrible man.

Dr Gupta was the best rheumy I had ever seen; very caring, took the time to listen & review many, many of my past health records. I am not a easy rheumy patient & have alot of health issues...most docs have sent me away..but not Dr Gupta, he was extremely willing to try & help me including different treatments to help me get some of my life back..he treated me for several yrs. I was very happy with him until he left the practice without warning. I wish him best wherever he is but still upset how he left.

Dr. Gupta is caring, polite, and knowledgeable. He accurately diagnosed and treated my problem.
