Dr. Denise Kathryn Griffin, MD

Finally a neurologist that "gets" what I'm describing with my chronic migraines. She never rushes me and is extremely personable. I would recommend her to anyone!

Waste of time and money. She could care less about her patients and their problems.

Dr. Griffin is thorough, listens well and obviously cares about her patients. Unfortunately, her office staff is awful to work with. Rude is an understatement and they are incompetent.

I was a brand new patient and she spent 10 minutes with me and did not offer anything to me besides trying to push botox for migraines. She did not seem to care that my migraines have been basically everyday lately when they had been under control for years. Waste of time and money. I would never recommend her to anybody.

lolol i love coming on these sites just to read the reviews from some people that are mad because they couldnt get their 30mg oxycodones. SOME OF YOU (and i put the word 'some' in caps so u know im not talking about EVERYONE) go to these drs just looking to get opiates and its so obvious. My favorite lines you people say are "my PCP approved me for opiate treatment" lolololol thats not even possible!! Yea your Dr can say opiates may help u and its ok to take them but that DOES NOT mean that a different dr has to listen to him and take his ADVICE!! NO DR can approve u for "opiate treatment!!!" thats the craziest thing i ever heard. Also i enjoy hearing "i cant take NSAIDS or tylenol or anything like Motrin because of my stomach. It has to be something like oxycodone because that doesnt have the tylenol in it." are you kidding me?!?!?! what do u expect a Dr to think when u say something stupid like that?!?!? and then some of u complain like the last reviewer that the Dr couldnt diagnose… you because they didnt have the proper MRI...what do u expect the Dr to just be able to see inside ur body??? How r they supposed to help/diagnose u without an MRI?? and some of u actually get mad over that?!?!? Some of u act so desperate to get opiates that the Drs see right through it because u go in these offices talking stupid saying stuff like "oxycodone worked great for me its the only thing that helps my pain.".....thats the kind of stuff that ruins it for the people that actually need the meds on a daily basis!!.....if u are in real pain, you would be open to ANY treatments a dr has to offer that may actually take ur pain away or make it somewhat better. Stop going in these offices acting like a fool and trying to get over on these Drs. And some of u say "i dont get it they are pain Drs they are supposed to help u with ur pain." and of course some of u think that means "oh ok ur in pain? here take these 30mg oxycodone 6 times a day this will probably help."...lmao are u kidding me?!?!? oh and ye this Dr is kind of ok but i would still look around for others. I just had to put my 2 cents in!! Have a good day!

I was referred to Dr Griffin. She seemed very nice but she totally misdiagnosed my problem. I explained to her that I had tingling all over, weakness in legs, numbness in legs and hands. She attributed it to a narrowing of the spine in the neck area. I asked her about the problem I am having with leg weakness and her quote was "well, I would not be able to tell without a back MRI". I was taken aback by that response since she was the doctor. She did not recommend therapy or anything. She basically said "good luck"! That seemed like an odd diagnosis considering that I was having problems in my legs. So, I took the MRI to an Orthopedist who looked at them. He said that I did not have any issue in the spine that would cause any of those problems. He said flat out "the issues you are having are brain related and you should definitely find yourself a new Neurologist"!!! I would not recommend Dr Griffin to anyone. She was referred to me by my doctor. I called her and told her not… to recommend her to anyone else.

She took the time to listen to my problem, Work comp sent me - I drove 2h - After meeting with me she went the extra mile in contacting the insurance company to do a procedure in the office instead scheduling an additional appointment, Very knowledgeable. This is not a pain medication dispensary, I want to have my neck fixed and she was more then willing to help with information and working with the ins company. Unfortunately I won't need to see her again.

This women was the rudest person I've ever met! After a 45min. wait in an empty office, I was seen.. She then took me off of my current migraine medication that worked and put me on one I'd told her three times I couldn't take. She didn't listen! When she found out I had medical experience she fired me as a patient. All of this is from one visit, no labs, no MRI's no proof, that anything she "thought" had any truth to it. She is by far the worse "Dr." I've ever been to. Too bad she is still practicing medicine on unsuspecting people.

I met with Dr. Griffin and I had an excellent experience. She spent almost 1 1/2 hours with me. (Sorry to the other patients who had to wait.) Her knowledge of my disorder was right on the money. Few doctors today know much about fibromyalgia. She took the time to answer all my questions until I fully understood. Fibro patients need to start seeing a neurologist instead of a rheumatoligist! It is a neurological disorder. It's nice to have found one who understands. Also, she has a background in pain management and psychiatry. These doctors won't stand for any patients seeking drugs. It is hard enough for pain patients to get what they need due to all the people abusing the system. She can tell the difference. Please keep an open mind. The staff was more pleasant than most doctor's offices as far as I am concerned. She deserves a chance; she is worth it.
