After several surgeries at Aspirus, I was refered to Dr. Maiman. He not only removed the botched hardware but also I threw away the walker I had been using for 2 years. He had me up and walking unassisted the morning after surgery. I will be forever greatful to him for giving me my life and mobility back. I would recomend him to anyone with spine problems.

Dr. Maiman did the impossible & fused my back when many other doctors said it could not be done. The waiting room had patients from all over the United States, who had come to get their previous surgeries fixed properly.

Dr. Maiman is a very direct medical professional. I appreciate a mix of humor, but matter of fact discussion on the diagnosis and options.

Dr. Maiman performed my back surgery in 2001 for my L4-L5 and L5-S1 vertebras that were ruptured and my sciatic was being crushed by these vertebras. I have been perfect ever since. I have sent many others to see this amazing doctor. I am forever grateful to the Angie Walker, my physical therapist, who sent me to Dr. Maiman. He is an amazing neurosurgeon.

Dr. Maiman was excellent and with the proper tools (x-ray and MRI) diagnosed my problem instantly, and accurately. I was initiallt impressed that he personally called me at home the night that I had my MRI done, to tell me the very bad news.I went through the major surgery, and wish I would have seen him personally a little more after surgery in the hospital, and wish I had a little more of his time during my post op office visits. I understand he is very busy, and I came unprepared, but I left with many questions unanswered.I am still recovering from surgery, but I am totally positive that my life will return to normal afterward, and I will be able to engage in nearly all of the activities I did before the back pain. (I just hope that ALL the pain subsides); I guess that will be the biggest rating on Dr. Maiman, in my opinion at least (I know he already saved me the use of my right leg, but we all want to live w/o pain).I would highly suggest Dr. Dennis Maiman to anyone with back… pain which include nerve problems (since I don't think he will even treat patients with only back pain).
