Dr. Derry Lynn Brinley, DO

Stay Clear! He is currently working one day a week with a residential treatment Program, He prescribed meds to a minor with out parental consent!

Coming from a teen who he saw and diagnosed, he was very abrupt and rude, often times cutting my sentences off, and limiting our time. My first introduction to him was "Come in and sit down" after I had already sat down and I replied "I'm already sitting", to which he replied "You can thank me now then." Not only was he rude, but he also gave me an outrageous misdiagnosis (which I even suspect he had made before we had discussed anything). To top it all off, he gave me a medicine without the permission of my parents and without reason for what I was diagnosed with. He did not ask my medical history, nor my personal life excluding my family (to which he even dared to insult my mother over the phone, and again in front of me). I was sorely disrespected and offended, and was appalled at the treatment I received.

I really liked Dr Brinley and found that he knew what he was doing. From a psychiatric stand point he prescribed medicines and gave advice that ultimately helped me get my life together. I'll admit that when I first started going to see him I didn't like him much, but as I was 17 and suffering from psychiatric and psychological issues my feelings at that time probably weren't too reliable. My mom said we should give it a chance and once I was more stable I could see that his prescriptions and advice really were a help. Though I am no longer seeing Dr Brinley as he has moved his practice, I am great full for how he helped me at the time.
