Dr. Devra Michele Sirot, MD

Dr. Sirot is very caring and will often go out of her way to see a patient based on the patient's schedule not on her shcedule. She does not have a staff but will personally answer every phone call. She conducts basic examinations but does not conduct in-office labs. Instead she relies heavily on Labcorp which can result in a delayed diagnosis and require a follow up visit the next day. This can become expensive if you are uninsured. However, unlike any other doctor I know, once diagnosed, Dr. Sirot will often contact the paitent two or three times to check on the patient's progress. She can be VERY talkative which is why there is no such thing as an "in and out" appointment. However, unlike other doctors, this too allows her to put her patients issues in context and provide excellent care. For those who like the distant/stoic-professional attitude Dr. Sirot is probably not for you. For those who are looking to establish a long-term relationship with a doctor that really knows you and… your illness Dr. Sirot is very much a "small-twon" doctor in a big city world.
