I have read both of the negative reviews and have reviewed my database as well as the hospitals and neither diagnosis or surgery can be found in my patients database. I have personally never had a patient that I have followed that has required exenteration or have has a diagnosis of nasal melanoma with a complication. Although I feel for anyone who has had a complication from radiation and currently manage many patients that were treated by others I am very suspicious of these reviews.

My mother was told she "only has small melanoma" on the bridge of her nose. During her "treatments" she was rushed, proper safety measuers were ignored ( the mask that she was tild was to protect her eyes and other healthy tissue was not used once) and her bedside manner, ummm left a lot to be desired *My momma would be ashamed if I EVER spoke to any one like that* after she had multiple surgeries to remove the nonviable tissue/ scar tissue and the cancer. Now she only has partial peripheral vision in one eye and the other one had to be removed due to extensive, irreversible damage.

She used Radiation to the extreme and burned my daughter up so bad that she had to have a colostomy and has had multi surgeries. All the doctors who have seen her since has said all her pelvic and colon area is nothing but scar tissue. She is now 49 years old and getting ready to have pelvic exenteration which is about a 10 hour surgery. I wish she could be charged with malpractice.

I spent a couple of months taking radiation treatments under the care of Dr. Heaton. I am still seeing her for check ups. I have always found her to be personable and helpful. She spends time with me explaining what they were doing and why. She always asks if I have any questions and always provides helpful answers. I would recommend her to anyone.
