Dr. Diane Ackerman Rennirt, MD

I have been a patient of Dr Rennirt for years. I have always felt like she cares.

I could feel her dislike for me from the opening greeting. The details would make this all seem trivial: I will say simply that among her reviews, she seems deeply loved by some, and among others, I have the same review: she disliked me for some reason, and let me know. she DID-NOT-CARE about any questions or thoughts I came in with. Dr Rinnert was dismissive and forgot she works for me. As a patient, as a client. I am aware what that sounds like - in fact, Doctors work for us. That she charged me ($208!!!!!!) after I told her how I felt (through the office Mgr, b/c Dr Rinnert does not have direct contact with her patients) shows a further disrespect and a power play. I did not have to pay, my insurance did. See? THIS is how the system is broken. Mediocrity and apathy reign. And no one cares. Certainly, Dr Rinnert does not: she holds the power and knows it. How unfortunate it all is. She should simply care more, even if to discuss why we could not, did not, connect. Apathy.… Mediocrity. Power. I am a woman who knows her body and her health; Dr Rinnert was challenged by that. I did not want a pill, I wanted to understand a systemic cause of an issue. And for that - she flatly, rather snidely, and certainly dismissively said "Then just go find a healer." She had the chance to apologize, or to explain, or to listen. But Apathy. Mediocrity. Power. Why bother, even now - right Dr Rinnert? We each have our story over dinner.

Wow. My appt in the app says 2... Apparently I had to be here at 1:30. I can't see the Dr cause I'm 15 minutes "late". Their policy is to not reschedule when a new patient is late. They did call to remind me of my appointment, but they didn't stress that I had to be here a half hour early. If they made an appt for 2, and if the app is going to reflect that time then they should honor that time

I think Dr. Rennirt is one of the most knowledgeable,kind and compassionate Doctors I have been to.She takes time to talk and listen to what you have to say. I would highly recommend her.

After years of being a patient to Dr. Rennirt and following her faithfully to three different offices, I now question continuing her services. Appointments are harder and harder to obtain, typically 1.5 to 2 months in advance. I speculate her practice has grown too large taking away to value of the Dr./patient relationship. The professionalism of her staff decreases each year. The staff is very cold, rude and present an atmosphere the patient is a burden. On a personal note I have a specific illness that I am very concerned about and may lead to other health issues. When I bring up the other issues, Dr. Rennirt has dismissed my concerns without giving them any consideration and becomes defensive that I would even question her. Excuse me but it is my health. On a recent visit, Dr. Rennirt suggested a new medication, problem was that was the purpose of the visit, I had been on the medication and was doing a follow up. She seemed frustrated and complained about records and… computer the rest of my visit with her and we accomplished nothing. I had always felt Dr. Rennirt listened to me and not always test results when deciding a course of action, but anymore I don't think she cares whet the patient has to say. Dr's should know it is our body and we know when something isn't right. I've always had the highest respect for Dr. Rinnert, but now I think for my health it is time to find a new Dr.

Dr. Rennirt has been wonderful physician, she not only has taken excellent care of me but also my entire family and several of my friends. My father would not be alive today had it not been for her astute diagnosis! I would recommend her to anyone! Great physician and very compassionate.

She has been my Internist for less than 2 years, & I have been very pleased. She is thorough & competent.

I have been seeing Dr. Rennirt for years and never really liked her much because she seemed to not care at all - but she was just my regular physician and I would see her for occassional check ups. I recall a time I began buying the generic brand of my medication (because I have to live within my means) and she called my pharmacy and told them not to give me generic, without informing me at all that she had done it. I was pretty agrivated when I had to pay $120 for my prescription the next time I came back. I had no choice but to pay the full price because it isn't the kind of medicine you can just stop taking but I let it go because she probably meant to call me and let me know, right? But now that I am actually going through something loge threatening, I am officially DONE with her. I have given Dr. Rennirt the benefit of the doubt SO many times. My family and friends were fed up with her long before I was. I have been suffering from something serious for about three months now… which landed me in the ER twice, the first time I was admitted for four days. Dr. Rennirt was on vacation during my stay in the hospital the first time and the stand in Doctor for her would not schedule an appointment for me. I finally got to see her about a week after my hospital stay and none of her staff, nor she, bothered to take my hospital records after I offered them to her several times. She spent about five minutes with me every time I went to see her and she refused to give me any solutions. After I ran out of steroids, I landed back in the ER for some sort of anaphylaxis. I went to see her and she told me to take some benadryl and Zyrtec. She absolutely refused to give me steroids but I told her the benadryl wasn't working. Still no solution. I'm sort of embarassed to admit I began to cry, I had been going through this for two months and I was exhausted. I told her I couldn't afford to go back to the ER and she just shook her head at me and remained cold and distant. Right before I left she said, "Of course if your symtpoms begin to come back and they are severe, go to the emergency room." I was imcredibly frustrated by the time I had to make an emergency appointment with a brand new physician because all of my symptoms came back. He said I had a steroid deficiency as well because she pulled me off of the steroids much too quickly. I was on a leave of absence in which I had to get some paperwork signed and faxed to HR. Her office made me pay $20 for this service and they never faxed the paperwork. It took me two weeks to get them to do their job that I had PAID for and by then they were days late of the deadline. I am lucky my employer didn't notice. When I needed an extension for my leave of absence, all HR asked for was a doctor's note on some sheet with a header. I asked her for one and she said "Oh, I'll have to have my people do that for you." When I asked her office staff for a doctor's note for my extension, they looked at me like I was speaking a different language. On one of these days I needed to get blood tests drawn. They told me to come in at "any time". Unfortunately I came in a couple of minutes before the technician's lunch break. She took me back anyway and literally yelled at me. Obviously I didn't say anything because she was brandishing a big ol' needle. Needless to say, I found a new physician. He spent more time with me in one visit than Rennirt spent with me in all of my visits with her combined. My next step is to see a rheumetologist but luckily this doctor gave me some medication to keep me out of the hospital. On some other website a lady wrote a review of her that said she dismissed her skin cancer and she had to go see another doctor to be taken care of. In summary, Dr. Rennirt is careless. She doesn't want to spend time on her patients, she just wants to get home. Her office staff is...just as bad and occassionaly scary. I get along with everyone. I am kind and I don't act entitled or strange or anything. I always arrived on time. There is literally no reason why her and her office staff should have treated me the way they did. She has cost me a ton of money (money that I don't have) from being negligent. I have never written a review for anything before, but she is just so bad I felt I had to warn people. Whatever is wrong with me is life threatening. My new physician is keeping a constant eye on my organs and he's really trying to figure out what's going on. If you have a SERIOUS issue that needs to be taken care of immediately, choose a different doctor.

Dr. Rennirt dismissed a skin cancer that I called to her attention. Fortunately, it was later picked up by a dermatologist and was surgically removed. Her office staff suffers from frequent turnover. Pharmacy refill requests are routinely missed by her staff, resulting in refill delays. She's a very pleasant person, but I don't think I'd recommend her to a friend.

1 1/2 yrs after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer...my oncologist and his staff still comment about how lucky I was to have an internist who thru her examination found a tumor that many doctors might not have found.....I am very lucky to have Dr Rennirt and her staff...
