Dr. Dodd Allison Sims, MD

An annual checkup seems to consist only of the nurse taking the blood pressure and the lab doing a blood test (no urinalysis etc.). Dr. Sims spends the time asking questions and tapping into his computer, performs no actual physical exam, I could have done this over the phone. Nice "bedside manner" but definitely lacking in "hands on".

My spouse and Iwent there tor physicals. All they did was take our weight blood pressure and temp. My husband had a problem with hearing but Dr Somme took a very cursory look and pronounced everything was o.k. Well..it wasn't and one wi. Later he had a bad earache. He went to another doctor who told him he couldn't even see his eardrum there was so much impacted ear wax.

Dr. Sims did not make me feel rushed and listened carefully to my concerns and scheduled a timely follow up. The office was run with precision.

i took my mom and he even didn't see her at all....wanted to change everything she is taking and not courteous at all....never will see him...

I took my Mom, who does not normally go to doctors, to Dr. Sims and although the diagnosis was very sad and unsettling, it was a wonderful experience. Dr. Sims was very respectful of my Mother and put her at ease immediately. He was competent and thorough and his staff was caring and very expedient regarding the scheduling of necessary tests and appointments. They also followed up with phone calls to my Mother, which is very rare these days. I would definitely recommend Dr. Sims.
