Dr. Dolores Barba, MD

Dr. Barba has been my PCP for a some time now, maybe for 5 years now. I’m type 1 diabetic and I use an insulin pump and she refuses to fill my Rx due to not seeing my current endo that she never referred me to after I requested her multiple times (insurance changes and HMO are so complicated). Finally after two phone calls from her reps cause she is apparently too busy to tell me no herself, they tell me she’s not going to fill it. I even explained how I’m running low on medicine and I only have about a little less than a month left of supplies. I explained how I have no way of contacting my pump company due to no one picking up the phone and she still has the guts to tell me, no. I also said I just need 3 mos then I’ll leave her alone if she did wanna give me a new endo since I have to build a relationship with this new endo and still no. She’s very rude and very condescending. Doesn’t care about her patients based on this very behavior. I depend on insulin and my supplies, I really… dont want to get sick but hey, my advice, don’t pick her. She’s the worst.

A have been a patient of Dr. Barba for several years. I see her about once a year. I so enjoy our visits - she is very personable, and warm and kind. Not to mention a very straight forward doctor. Love her!

ZERO!! Worst doctor ever. Please beware. My sister just had her first appt with Dr. Barba and 5 min later she comes out in tears, dizzy and heart rate over 160 bpm. My sister suffers from auto-immune disorder that even the ER visit 3 days ago had recorded and this doc would not even let her lie down and explain her symptoms as she started to feel bad. My sister came prepared with her typed list of symptoms and evaluations from her specialists, her neurologist reports of brain lesions, and severe migraines and this "doctor" would not even read them, questioning the validity of them. BUT, she said what my sister needed was a therapist! She was rude, aggressive and completely unprofessional. I've never even heard of a medical professional behaving this way. It was just an unbelievably traumatic experience. I don't wish this on anyone.

She always takes time with you and listens to you. She is also easy to communicate with you.

Dr. Barba is probably the best doctor that I have been to. She is professional, compassionate and kind. Everything that she described during my appointment is correct, she takes the time to listen and gives you different options for your health, along with her Medical Assistant Nelson they make me feel that I am home, for me it is worth the drive (60 miles) to see Dr. Barba in Pasadena. Hopefully corporate office can recognize Dr. Barba for being the best doctor in my opinion. Thumbs up to Dr. Barba

We have seen Dr. Barba since she started seeing patients there, she is professional, caring doctor, We highly recommended, you would not be disappointed. Without doubt Dr. Barba is the best physician. When I need medical treatment, I do not mind the drive from Orange County to Pasadena.
