After visiting Dr. Hobart, couldn’t trust her with my surgery.

I drove 45 minutes for my appointment and I was 30 minutes early. I called twice in advance to make sure my records were forwarded to her office from a doctor in the same building and they verified they were forwarded. When I arrived her staff told me they didn't have any records. I called 2 doctors to fax my records to the office while I stood there and her staff claimed they never got them. The doctor saw this was happening and did nothing to alleviate my stress. I was then told Dr Hobart REFUSED to see me without my records in advance. I said I wanted to be seen and she could review my records after they arrived. I was there for a 2nd opinion and to see if I wanted her as a surgeon. I found out later that it was their fault my records were not received because of a block on their fax machine. The staff made me feel like it was my fault when it was 100% theirs. The doctor was cold and unfeeling as she saw everything that was happening and refused to see me. Also while in the… waiting room going through this ordeal there was a security guard questioning a man about taking things from a drawer. This was a horrible 1st impression.

After a recommendation from my GP, I went to see Dr. Hobart for a several breast cysts, swollen breast, underarm and side. She reviewed my CT scan, mammogram and ultrasound results and dismissed any of my symptoms I was having. She spent the majority of the appt telling me I am obese and pitched CoreLife, which is a weight loss and nutritional center. I tried to guide the conversation back to my symptoms and once again she dismissed them, asked me again if I gained weight. She spent very little time examining my breast, armpit and side and then starting talking about Corelife again. I left the appointment in dismay and disappointment that a doctor would take so little concern regarding her patient. It only got worse as Corelife called me that afternoon to schedule a orientation appt. In my opinion it is totally unethical and unprofessional.

I went to see dr Hobart about a cyst in my left Brest - she was very quickly to dismiss it as being to small to worry about at this time - before I knew it she was basically saying my weight can effect woman's Brest and cancer - though I do agree with her ( I've done research ) however - what upset me the most - was she started preaching to me about weight loss and what I should eat - telling me that her family are large woman and she has to work hard very hard to look that good - does she think that because I can lose a few lbs that I don't work at it ??!! I have other medical issues that I'm working on as well - and some prevent me from strainedous excerise - HOWEVER - i DO eat right -and excerise- I don't eat junk food and sit in front of the TV hours a day - I was a 22 to a 16 and losing more - how dare she assume that I don't eat right and do nothing to help my weight !! How dare her compare her body to mine - she doesnt know me and I'm not all all obese !! Curvy !! Not obese… - and if I was who is she to preach in such a way to make you feel like crap ! Like your not doing enough -like your a fat slob and the cyst is your falt because your fat !! I didn't go In there to decuss my weight - I went In For a cyst in my breast !! Not happy at all with her bed side manner - will be looking else where for a second option !

seemed to be irritated when she first came in, initially said all was fine then spent a good amount of time looking thru pics taken, and then recommended I get an MRI done
