Dr. Donald Erik Aspenson, MD

Dr Aspenson is amazing! He really cares about his patients and he is so helpful in helping navigate his patients through the sometimes difficult world of medicine!

Dr Aspenson has been my Endocrinologist for 15 years. His bedside manner is great and he is always looking out for my best interest. I’m blessed to have him as a friend, colleague and doctor!

Dr. Aspenson is simply an excellent physician, he listens, advises well, and has helped me over the past few years with relevant issues after losing my thyroid gland, I wish I had seen him earlier. I am grateful to be one of his patients.

Dr. Aspenson is very knowledgeable and helpful. The office staff must be incompetent or forgetful. I have trouble nearly every time I need a refill. They say they will or have done it, but they do t or haven’t. Same thing with blood work orders. It’s very frustrating!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Aspenson for over a decade and he’s always kind, inquisitive, and thorough. He gives me all the time I need to explained how I’m feeling, what I may be going through, what has changed since my last visit, and how I’m handling stress. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an endocrinologist.

Rushed me thru ultrasound. When I had questions he was offended told me I couldn't be sure he was really even a dr and slammed out of the exam room. When he returned was very intimidating saying a biopsy of my lumpy thyroid would be a waste of time, it needs to come out period. Sorry to say I did have the surgery.

I was in office a total of 4 hours and spent only about 30 minutes of that time with the doctor. He provided very few answers and did not offer any sort of treatment plan or direction of care.I left feeling more frustrated and hopeless than ever. His bedside manner was poorly executed, dry humor and snarky comments. I would not recommend. His office staff were also quite rude.

He spends time with me, explains what's going on, and follows up on my results with additional tests, if needed. I like that! Very personable, too!

Initially I had blood drawn at a PCP where I found out I was HYPERthyroid which then prompted an ultrasound. The US found nodules and a week later after a biopsy, I was diagnosed with cancer. After being diagnosed at only 25, and having ZERO family history of cancers, it was very overwhelming for me to go to a specialist. I had surgery to remove the thyroid and now more cancer has been found in my lymph nodes. More surgery to come. Despite all of this, I feel in good hands with Dr. Aspenson as he is extremely thorough and spends AMPLE time with his patients to explain the condition, diagnosis, treatment plan, and prognosis. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who wants DATA driven and thorough care.
