Dr. Donald Lee Kettwich, MD

This doctor failed to find a stone clearly visible on the X-ray. He ordered a procedure that would have involved high risk with the second stone in the other tube.. Based on consultation with another doctor I cancelled his procedure and moved to a competent Doctor. His nurse was the most rude person I have ever encountered. I believe she lied to me several times, She changed my time on a procedure and lied to me that she changed it, blamed it on Presbyterian and when I talked to the scheduling supervisor she told their records show the nurse changed the time. She lied to me and refused to accept responsibility. When I called her from the hospital she got mad and hung up on me. I called back and as soon as she heard my voice she hung up on me again. I was not abusive did not curse. When I told the doctor he did nothing nor did he apologize. When I asked for my medical records she told me I would have to wait 30 days. I called the State Medical Board. They called me back… and told me I could pick up my records the next day. With a practice like this with what I perceive as a poor doctor and a very rude staff, I think I would recommend you use someone else.

I've been to the clinic twice now. This last time, I spent way too long in the waiting room, but I can overlook that, since the quality of care here is second to none and Dr. Kettwich is as professional as they come. I would highly recommend this clinic.

This is the only (urology) office in Albuquerque that seemed interested in helping me when I called to make an appointment with my very unique problem. Not only did they get me in to see the doctor within a few days, he cured me!! Turns out, I needed surgery and he is the best doctor in the world!! Thank the good Lord for Dr. Kettwich and his staff. Everywhere else I called, I was ignored.

Never thought I would every come in contact with an office with the most rudest people, but i did. Here at Dr. Donald Kettwich office. This even included his own office manager.

Cannot believe how lucky I was to find a physician who is still in private practice (solo) who is so wonderful, kind, caring, professional. I must recommend this urologist to anyone in the Albuquerque area who is looking for personal care and attention, not to just be another number in the "corporate group practice".

I decided to post a review regarding this doctor because I know that most people only post something when they are angry or upset. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Kettwich and his office staff!! They were all so good to me and took care of me IMMEDIATELY when I had a medical emergency. This doctor is an excellent physician and I highly recommend him to anyone!! I am actually sending my brother to him for his medical problems. No waiting to see the doctor and a kind and caring staff as well!

I have had to have a lot of medical care in the past year and have found Dr. Kettwich to be one of the kindest and most professional physician's I have ever dealt with in my life. Sadly, I have had a very good look into the medical system in the U.S. today (because of so many health problems) and I have a new respect for ANYONE working in the medical field. The general public has become so demanding, rude and downright abusive to these people. Please remember, treat people the way you wish to be treated! Physicians, nurse and all medical staff and personnel are here to help us-please treat them with respect. I am appalled at the way some people behave (and not surprised at all to read the Dec. 2009 posting on this site), because in general, most patients are very nasty to health care workers and then they wonder why nobody wishes to help them. Please think about your own behavior before posting such nasty comments.

Dr. Kettwich was very professional and seemed genuinely caring. His staff was top notch. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful experience with this physician and his office staff. I did read the negative review on this same website and have to disagree wholeheartedly! I guess everybody views thing differently, however, I was very confident in Dr. Kettwich's ability and expertise as a physician and his office staff was nothing but cooperative and helpful. Would highly recommend this physician! Plus, he went to Rush Medical University so that made me even more confident-I am originally from Chicago and Rush is a top-notch medical school!

My doctor gave me Dr. Kettwich's number to make an appointment. When I called, the office worker was very rude so I asked to talk to the office manager. She didn't want to let me and I said, "Are you refusing to let me talk to the manager?" She hung up on me. I called several more times and she hung up on me each time. Finally another worker answered and I asked to talk to the office manager. I heard the first girl, in the background, say, "Just hang up on her." The second girl hung up on me.
