Dr. Donald Randolph Mckinley, MD

I just recently started seeing Dr. McKinley for an issue. I had heard both good and bad comments about him from acquaintances. So I went to see him without making any prejudgments. He showed great concern for me. He responded to my situation with more than expected urgency. He was polite and answered all questions with extreme professionalism. He showed great skill as a surgeon. I truly believe he was the best doctor I could have went to. The only negative thing I could say about my experience is that he did seem a bit preoccupied with other matters on occasion, but my personal care was not diminished in the least. Given his career field, I believe that is to be expected. I am not the only patient he has. I would definitely recommend him to other people looking for a caring, knowledgeable doctor.

I have to speak to this doctor for my mom, he puts her on new meds every few weeks and won't answer a direct question. I faxed him several times about my moms condition, he won't reply. I have asked the nurses to give him messages and they say he won't tell them anything. Poor excuse for a doctor. I won't recommend this doctor to anyone.

I chose this doctor originally because a family member had awesome things to say about him. I saw him for my pre-natal care and he also delivered my son four years ago.In Johnstown, it is so difficult to find a completely competent doctor who is also caring and compassionate. Dr. Donald McKinley is one of the few.I would and often do, recommend this doctor to any woman looking for an OB/GYN.
