Dr. Donald Okechukwu Ozumba, MD

Dr. Ozumba ripped my hip open and left me with a horrific scar during a hip replacement at age 40. I went in with pain after and he rubbed my inner thigh inappropriately for several minutes touching my genitalia , left the room to tend to other patients, came back & continued while asking me about my hobbies. This happened several times during the visit and I left molested and damaged. NEVER go to this “doctor”.

I have know Dr. Ozumba for several years and he is the best. He took care of my knee issues. I trust him and would recommend him to all my family and friends.

Dr. Ozumba not only is an amazing surgeon, he is a kind and compassionate man. He is caring and the fact that he prayed over his hands before my surgery was what made me choose him to be my doctor. My surgery and recovery time was so easy. I have had 2 knee surgeries in the past by a different doctor and that was not the case. I thank God every day for allowing our paths to cross.

Terrible Experience - would definitely not recommend

I really like Dr. Ozumba as he really takes the time to explain injuries and procedures. He spends a good deal of time with each patient. But his office management needs improvement. It is very difficult to get a person on the phone. Leaving a message can take days or never to get a response. It can be very frustrating. I have been a patient for a long time and confine to be because I trust him but there have been times when I have considered shopping around.

I went in for surgery on last week with the good doctor. Yes he is a great doctor however after surgery he disappeared. I did not speak with him at all. Once I woke up I asked to speak with him about follow-up care and what happened doing surgery. He had another surgery he went into and afterwards left the hospital. I tried calling his office to talk to him no luck there as his nurse stated I will speak to him in the office doing my follow-up. I was so disappointed, what doctor does not speak with his patient after he does a surgery on them. I have no complaints about the surgery itself. I seem to be healing fine but it would have been nice to talk to the doctor. Now I have to wait until my follow-up, completely unprofessional.

I am a patient of Dr.Ozumba & while I love him, his patients are not able to call his office & speak to anyone the same day. You are lucky to get a live person to talk to you within the same week. You can't leave a message as the person who schedules the appointments has a mailbox that remains full at all times & will not accept other messages. I have spoken to Dr. Ozumba about the difficulty of making an appointment with him (as well as the long, long, wait time to see him)& he assured me he was working on this. But this morning I find that nothing at all has changed. You get sent from one mailbox to another & the concern of the staff to assist you is a zero. How can this office continually be busy when patients are unable to get in when they are in pain or need to just make an appointment? He is a great doctor with a sub-standard staff. But, without a good staff, & without the patients being able to make an appointment with him or able to talk to anyone there, even a good doctor will… send a message to his patients that we just aren't important enough for him to make the necessary changes in his staff to take care of his patients. I am now going to find another doctor. But you can be certain that if I am unable to find one who offers me the option to call in & speak to someone, that I will keep looking. But I doubt that anyone else runs their office in this manner!!

If I had to come up with a single problem concerning Dr Ozumba,I couldn't. There are not enough Doctors like him. He is very educated, through, and is extremly kind. His only concern is that you have his full attention and that you are out of pain as soon as possible. If you found that he or his office were anything but great....you were in the wrong office. He is amazing!

Obviously this physician has good marketing. He did not listen to my complaints, he did not seem to care at all, he presented with an ego issue that blocked his view of any physical complaints I had. I will not recommend him to anyone other than to tell them to steer clear of this poor quality physician.

Worst doctor I have ever seen. I do not recommend him. If you want a caring quality physician, find someone else.
