Dr. Donald Eugene Paxton, MD

Dr. Paxton is thorough and efficient. and Dr. Paxton is very caring as well. I recommend him strongly as a superior PCP. Dr. Paxton is very smart. I have been his patient for years. His referrals to specialists are timely, and he refers patients to superb specialists. His demeanor is quiet, refined and kind.

I needed a prescription refill and called the office on Tuesday. They said they would speak to the Dr. and for me also to call the pharmacy. I called the pharmacy and they sent the request to the Dr. and said it would be ready after 4:00 Wednesday. When I went in, they had not heard from the Dr. and sent another request. I called the Dr to tell them again. I checked with Pharmacy again Thursday with same results, so they sent another request. Today is Friday, they have sent 3 or possibly 4 requests to the Dr. with no response. The Dr. has recently changed to IMS and there is a constant turnover in staff, both receptionist and nurses. The fact of the matter is they are incompetent and not passing messages on to the Dr. It is not an addictive or otherwise dangerous medication, so there is no reason not to refill it. After over 20 years with him, it looks as if it's time to seek another physician.

Well Dr D Paxton was my doctor year ago but I still love him as much today as I did back than he was always so kind to everyone that he came into contact with. And was always easy to talk to and always took the time to listen. He is the main reason that I quit smoking. I could still see him telling me not to smoke that and the worse part of that he was not my doctor during the time I stopped smoke

Dr. Paxton has been my trusted Internal Med physician for 10+ years. He stays up-to-date with advances in the medical field; he assures that all Rx are necessary & appropriate before prescribing meds; and, he takes time to listen to Pts & answer their questions. Dr. Paxton insisted that he perform a biopsy on a facial lesion that had been dismissed as "nothing" by my dermatologist...turned out that the lesion was in fact cancerous and needed to be surgically removed. I have worked in the healthcare field for 25+ years, and I've seen the good & bad that the Valley has to offer...Dr. Paxton rates with the best!

Don't waist your time. This doctor was supposed to be accepting new patients. I made an appointment and they sent me the many pages of info to fill out before the first visit. I filled all the paperwork out, then they ran my insurance. When they found out my insurance would only cover 70%, they told me to find a different doctor. The day before my appointment! I've already been waiting weeks to be seen!
