Dr. Donald K Rahhal, MD

I have struggled to function in a school environment, previously, and now in a work environment. With an attention disorder, I was all over the map. With the amazing help of Dr. Rahhal, I’ve been able to find a good balance of medication and coping mechanisms that have changed me for the better. I have since graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree and am functioning extremely well in my work environment. Also, I have struggled with generalized anxiety. One where I push myself to the edge, but if anyone pushed, it likely pushed me over the edge. After Dr. Rahhal thoughtfully listened, we have come up with a plan and enacted such plan that has help immensely. My home and work life has benefitted greatly. I can function beautifully as a mom, wife, and engineer. Dr. Rahhal knew I had the drive and capability and he gave me the tools and motivation that changed my life! I would highly recommend Dr. Rahhal to my closest family and friends as I believe that he could help them as much… as he has helped me. I have seen Dr. Rahhal for countless years and hope to see him for many years to come!

I was not one of his aging debutant clients. I was a business partners client. He disdains working mother’s to be. He rushed through the delivery of my daughter, ignoring my problems with anesthesia. He popped off, “she’s had the anesthesia of her choice. Let’s get this baby here before lunch.” Despite the anesthesiologists saying he could give me something else. After she arrived, he proceeded to then tell me, “Quit shaking, you’re giving yourself laserations.” I was exhausted and could not, much to his annoyance. As he left the delivery room, he commented over his shoulder, “You can give her anything you want, now.” He ignored my bleeding & great discomfort at my so called 6 week check up. I continued to bleed for most of the next 4 months. My primary care Dr refused to see me. She called Dr Barki, his business associate and Dr I had hoped to have deliver my child. Miraculously, I was seen the next day. I was prescribed antibiotics & had a D&C 2 days later. All at… my physical & financial expense. Having survived that nightmare, I chose never to risk another. He should never have been allowed to continue practicing. Sadly, I was too broke, to fight. Don’t risk your health going to him.

Properly diagnosed a misdiagnosis. Was caring, informative & made my visit pleasant. Loved his nurse, Rose, too!

Dr. Rahhal took me as a high risk patient in 1976 after loosing two babies. At the time he was at University Hospital in OKC. He had to perform a cerclage and my baby still came 2 months early weighing 2.6 oz. She did great and had no complications. Since that time she got a nursing degree at OCU, and is currently getting a master in nursing. MANY thanks to Dr. Rahhal for taking me as a patient and seeing me through this rough time. After requesting multiple times to be tested for polycystic ovarian syndrome, Dr. Raahal finally ordered bloodwork to rule it out. He refused a couple of time because I don’t have the classic triad of symptoms (obesity, abnormal hair growth and irregular periods). As he hands me the order to go do my bloodwork he says, I really doubt that you have it. Surprise, my bloodwork came back consistent with PCOS and his nurse calls me and says “Your bloodwork is consistent with PCOS, just keep taking the birth control.” No apology and no explanation of what PCOS even is! Thankfully, I am an OBGYN sonographer so I know that birth control does nothing to treat PCOS it is just a mask for the symptoms that the doctor can make a quick buck off of for prescribing a pharmaceutical. A month later, my sister goes in for her yearly. She has an abnormal cyst that they are calling a teratoma. Not only have they done no follow up, but they have rescheduled her appointment twice. This is medical… negligence, if the tumor has grown she could lose her entire ovary. Both of these situations truly upset me. Being a patient of Dr. Raahal’s for several years, I deserve better medical care than this. There are better OBGYNs out there, I suggest you find one who values patient care and education.

Dr. Rahhal is not only a wonderful doctor, he has wonderful bedside manner and really cares.

For many years, I only saw women doctors so I was nervous before my first appointment. but Dr. Rahhal and his nurse put me at ease with their friendly and caring personalities. They took time to listen to my concerns and answer questions I had. During a procedure I was undergoing, Dr. Rahhal told me what he was going to do before he did it so I would not be frightened. Dr. Rahhal is very knowledgeable about women's health. I highly recommend him!

Had an appointment. Waited in excess of 3 hours to be seen. Was in a lot of pain and need to be seen or I would have walked out. Should have walked out. He was uncaring. He misdiagnosed. He behaves as if he knows all. He did not confer with other dr.'s in the same office to be sure of a diagnosis. A dr. who thinks he knows all and refuses to even try to investigate or check his medical databases and peers is a dangerous person. Fortunately for me, I was seen by another dr. who was made a diagnosis, prescribed med and had me feeling better within days. Oh and followed up by calling to see if I was doing any better. Dr. Rahhal was a very expensive mistake and nearly cost me a very expensive ER visit.

I have been a patient of Dr Rahhal for approximately 15 years. He is one of the most caring physicians I have ever met. My health has been a challenge at times but he always takes the time to explain procedures or findings and schedules followups to all procedures. Never takes a wait and see attitude.

I can say I honestly LOVE Dr. Rahhal. He was caring and honest with me. I liked how if I was worried about something he put a stop to it like my dad would. When my little girl was born he had a smile on his face bigger than my own. I believe he truly loves delivering children. In fact my favorite pic of Corley as a newborn is the one where Dr. Rahhal is holding her up grinning like a new grandpa. I would recommend Dr. Rahhal to anyone. His office is busy but professional. Take your time on appt days b/c you will want to take in everything the nurses and the Dr. have to say.
