Dr. Donn Owen Fuller, MD

I was deathly afraid of having my knee drained after injuring it while on vacation. Made an appointment with Dr Fuller made on a recommendation from a friend. New to the area I was terrified. However once in his presence I was completely relaxed and put at ease. He’s a wonderful doctor. Very compassionate and putting my fears to rest. Felt a little pressure but that was it. He talked me thru the procedure and I was thrilled with the result. I would highly recommend Dr Fuller. And would do it all over again but hoping I don’t. Thanks to Dr Fuller.

I have been seeing Dr. Fuller for over 20 years and I find him to be professional and caring. He explains things well and answers my never ending questions. He has replaced two knees and 1 hip and I will not go to anyone else in the area. His staff is friendly and courteous.

I had shoulder surgery, which was to be very painful, I was informed by many ! But by listening to Dr Fuller and I finally did for once , my shoulder pain & healing was over in 1/2 the time . I have had a # of other surgery by this Doctor , and all I can say is he is the best !

Dr. Fuller is so nice and excellent and explains things to you in details and very caring and funny he gets me to laugh he is awesome doctor thank you! I highly recommend him, he surely knows what he is doing!

While the shot he gave me helped my issue a little he then ordered an MRI. He did say if my issue was back-related he would refer me however his office never got back to me with the results. Instead, out of nowhere, I get a call from a pain clinic wanting me to schedule an appointment. When I go to a doctor I expect a call to let me know what the results are of any tests he had ordered - that didn't happen with Donn Fuller. I wouldn't go back to him nor would I recommend him. The only reason he got two stars rather than one was the shot didn't hurt too much and eased a bit of my pain.

Dr Fuller is excellent. He explains things thoroughly, is very caring and just a great doctor

A friend recommended Dr. Fuller 10 years ago, and I am sooo glad I had him do my surgery! Having injured my knee by jumping a swale and only skidding, some 14 years ago, you can imagine how badly it was bowed. It looks great, he took excellent care of me, and my knee, was thrilled with the at home visiting nurse Stephen and therapist Kelly, and I was absolutely amazed how straight the bone looked after the surgery! I have 4 more weeks of therapy to gain a bit more muscle and tendon movement and strength, but would positively recommend him! Thank you so much, Dr. Fuller!

I wrote a review on this site last May...it has been removed so I will submit a review again. My husband had a fall that resulted in hospitalization at Cape Coral Hospital. The hospilist (DR) told us he would need surgery on his right hand ring finger. They put a temporary immobilizer on him and said to see Dr, Fuller. Dr. Fuller saw him in the hospital for a “nano second.” When we went to his office he put a metal splint on it and said to return in 2 weeks. We did...X-rays were taken. The bone was not even connected to the knuckle and the finger was permanently curled. A specialist in Cleveland said it was not handled?set properly and because of healing could not successfully operated on. After 2solid months of occupational therapy there was little improvement. He is right handed so has lost the ability to golf, use his power tools, write properly, etc. Never go to Dr. Fuller.

Injected my knee with a gel to relieve pain - a series of three shots. First shot went well. Second shot blew my knee up to the size of a basketball. Called immediately - they said if I couldn't get there in 10 minutes they couldn't help me. I live 30 minutes away so that wasn't going to happen. Shocking to me. I wouldn't go to this doctor if he was the last doctor on earth. Be aware!

Please, please think twice before using this doctor for a hip or knee replacement. Go to someone who specializes in joint replacement, not a general orthopedist. Large leg length difference left after hip replacement surgery has made my life miserable-pain in hip, knee, back, etc. Leg length too great for shoe insert & must wear a built-up orthopedic shoe with a thick sole. (Looks great when wearing a dress!) He gave MANY excuses as to why this happened but none were true. I have since seen 3 other very reputable MD's who say the prosthesis was too large & also poorly placed. One MD said that I would probably need a revision within 5 years, & that surgery is really major as the bone has grown around this poorly placed, too large prosthesis! Since this catastrophe I have had several local nurses tell me he is know for poor patient outcomes after joint replacement. I consulted several attorneys who were very familiar with his work, & was told by one, "I know about him, & would love to… sue him up one side & down the other, but Florida laws favor the doctors when it comes to joint replacement screw-ups, so it wouldn't be worth it for us to take him to court." Too bad.
