Dr. Donna Lynn Casey, MD

I doubt Donna Casey reads these reviews. I have gone to her for years and put up with the long waits and her horrible front office because I liked and trusted her so much. This last year I’ve begun having many “old age” problems.(I’m 78.) When I’ve needed her most, she has been unresponsive. When I’ve called her office (at her request), calls have not been returned. Her PA has not returned calls. Orders for scans have not been placed. Requests for prescription refills have not been ordered. During my last call I requested a referral to another internist - one who might be able to help me! I was told they didn’t have referrals to other internists. I said, “Out of all the Presbyterian Network they don’t have another internist!?” She told me I could look it up myself! I doubt my message will be delivered.

I will not go to another doctor, Dr. Donna is the only physician I'd trust my life with. Best of the best and all of the D Mag rankings and accolades prove it. Kindest woman on earth whether she has the white coat on or not. And one of the smartest humans I know. Top notch Dallas doctor and I highly recommend her to everyone.

Dr Casey is a good Dr and nice person but expect to wait anywhere from 1-2 hours AFTER your appt time before you are called back. Every. Single. Time. And you’ll never get an appt when you are sick- last spring I knew I had the flu and called to make an appointment (current patient, not a new patient) and they said the first available would be in three weeks! I gave her 2 stars instead of 1 because she is a good Dr but her office staff is not nice and it’s obviously a poorly run office- the buck stops with her.

The most caring, attentive doctor I have ever been too. Lovely staff. Donna is a blessing to all who see her If you have to wait, she is well worth the time.

Called her office 4 times asking her to call me regarding some tests results. NEVER CALLED ME! No follow up to discuss the plan of care or future tests or procedures I might need. Rude office staff. Do not recommend!

Dr Donna Casey is an excellent physician. I was searching for an Internist for my primary care doctor while undergoing treatment for breast cancer. I asked several doctors I came in contact with who they would recommend. Her name came up repeatedly. Good doctors know who the other good doctors are. She can run late but its because she wants to give every patient personal one-on-one care. I'm lucky to have found her.

I call Dr. Donna Casey my angel doctor. I went to her because I thought i had thyroid problems. I didn't. But, what I did have was Stage IV lung cancer. If it had not been for her, we would have not discovered it until it was way too late. Not only did she order the scans that found and confirmed the cancer, she set me up with an oncologist right away. She made sure that everything ran smoothly for me and pushed to get things done yesterday. When I needed to change oncologists (to get into a clinical trial), she set me up with Dr. David Gerber, my second angel doctor. She got me in to see him within a week. And, within another week, I was in a clinical trial. When I accompanied my husband to her office, she didn't realize at first who he was. Until she saw me sitting in the chair off to the side. She is so compassionate that she began to cry tears of joy at the fact that I was still alive and still doing so well. How many doctors care that much???? About a patient they had… never even seen before the cancer was discovered? This is one awesome doctor. I cannot say how much I love her. I owe my life, literally, to her. Both of my oncologists were so impressed that she felt the very small knot on my collarbone that alerted her to a possible problem. You might have to wait awhile to see her. She is very thorough and she will spend a ton of time with you. But, sometimes, that means she runs a little bit late. So, bring a book or something.

Expect to spend 30 minutes to 2 hours waiting in the examining room for dr. Casey to arrive. She has no empathy for her patients. Expect to wait 2 days to one week for an approval on refills for meds. Also, her front office staff is rude.
