Dr. Donna Ellen Newsome, MD

This woman was assigned to us in a hospital in Plano, Tx. It is very difficult to believe that she has a medical degree with a specialty in Neurology. She is not very knowledgable in medicine & tries to cover up her ignorance with flamboyant, obnoxious attire & extremely brief interactions with patients & their loved ones. I would strongly advise others to request & seek out another doctor particularly if you'd like your loved one to receive excellent care. Five minutes with her will validate this review.

I was a patience in the hospital and Dr. Newsome was assigned to me...did not even touch me and acted like I had the plague. I was not confident in her as a doctor and would not recommed her to anyone. I felt she was there to collect the money only and really didn't care about my condition.

Do not think that she's a good doctor. She was the hospital's neorologist when my brother was there. Brother is a young boy who had giant cell tumor and another doctor performed the surgery. When I asked her question, she would ask me to ask the surgeon instead. Came in behind another doctor and just said that the doctor already asked everything i needed to know, then walk off. Probably for 2-3 times. Just didn't show too much interest in my brother. My poor brother did not have insurance and she was the ONLY doctor who refuse to give any discount as she would charge us what she would charge the insurance. I know that it is not a must but hopefully she has heart to help out a 24 year old boy who has nothing but now in big debts because of this tumor. He hardly can walk now. Other doctors were nice enough to give us some discount and work with us on payment plans but she is the only doctor that will not work with us and insist that it has to be paid by so and so. I will… definitely not recommend her.
