Dr. Doojin Kim, MD

This doctor has been a game changer in my son's life. He listens, is incredibly thoughtful and makes decisions about medication and treatment very cautiously, but also with a sense of urgency. He truly seems to understand the chaos caused by migraine. His office staff is kind and efficient!!!!!!! Prescriptions are called in immediately, insurance pre approvals are done properly every time. This is a knowledgeable and caring doctor with an office run by someone that is expert in the field of running a medical practice. Thank you!!!!

Low clinical accumen, poor communication. Comes off as generally Iazy and uninspired.

Dr. Kim prescribed me a medication that provoked a hypersensitivity reaction so severe that I ended up in the ER. While this was not his fault, when I called to ask for his medical opinion about my irregular reaction, he denied the very real symptoms that I was experiencing, saying that they were not possible side effects of the medication. I then had to wait approximately a month for a follow-up visit, during which he recommended I try a different medication in the same class as the one I reacted to, despite the fact that several other medical professionals (a family member who is a physician, the doctor in the ER) advised me to avoid medications of this type as I will almost certainly have a more acute allergic response if repeatedly exposed.

Dr. Kim’s office didn’t receive the test results, so when I showed up with my elderly dad, Dr. Kim said he’d track them down and then call me. His office never did, so I had to call to ask what happened. The office staff told me we needed to make an appointment ASAP. Alarmed, I moved my schedule around at a very difficult time. The day of the appointment, I drop my dad off at the office so he won’t be late, and I drive around until I find parking. As I’m driving, I see Dr. Kim walking to his office, chewing. Well, he’s going to be late to our appointment. Sure enough, we wait 25 minutes to see him, then he tells us the test results were normal. So he couldn’t have told us this over the phone like he originally volunteered? Why did we have to come in twice? And why did he make an appointment for a time he was going to be out, eating?

Dr. Kim has seen me through many flare-ups and has spent time during my office visit going over any questions and results of test that were ordered. He is an excellent MS doctor.

Deserves less than one star. If you are even able to get a human being on the phone to make an appt.- you will sit and wait for your appt. for a very long time. Dr. Kim has horrible bedside manner and I would never recommend him to anyone.

Perhaps worse than being charged a ton of money for a superficial examination and poor overall communication, is to actually be given the wrong diagnosis. I've never seen someone be so quick to prescribe pills for such a complex situation, only to find out later that my problems were of a completely different nature, and that the pills were then creating adverse side effects that were complicating the diagnosis of the main problem. I would NOT recommend Dr. Kim.
