Dr. Dora Heang So, MD

I would give Dr. So less than 1 star if possible, like negative 100,000. I was a new patient hoping to get some actual help. Instead she spent about 7 minutes with me in total. She didn’t listen to me, didn’t care about looking at my previous medical records. If she had then she would’ve known I was high risk for certain cancers. Instead she told me those records didn’t matter, she was distant, cold and dismissive. Incredibly disappointing, especially from a female doctor. 3 minutes into my appointment she accused me of being there for weight loss drugs, I wasn’t and found her attitude to be disgusting. Then their billing department sent me a bill for a new patient visit which was over $1600. I’m in the appeals process with my insurance company now as UCLA Health has committed fraud on my insurance. A new patient visit is meant to meet or exceed 60 minutes, again my visit with Dr. So was SEVEN minutes. I’ve already told their office I wouldn’t see one of their doctors ever again and… that I’ll have to die in the street instead. Save yourself time and trouble and never go to UCLA Health. Dr. So shouldn’t be a doctor, she shouldn’t be allowed to work with the public in any capacity. She has the personality and bedside manner of a door knob. What a vile and useless excuse for a human, let alone a “doctor”.

I’ve had Dr.So as my primary doctor for two years. She’s very interested in your health and well-being. Highly recommended

This physician lacks the common knowledge of mental health. She refuses to treat patients with psychiatric illnesses because she admits that she doesn't know anything about the brain. Really? And she graduated from a prestigious school?

Dr. So is rude and possibly racist. She took none of my vitals, wouldn’t really touch me and treated me like a waste of time. She’s condescending and very dismissive. Won’t be seeing her again.

My kids and I go to Dr. So for our annual exams and blood work for the last four years. She takes her time with your appointment (never feel rushed) super efficient with referrals and any feedback from messages I send. She has a great bedside manner and is super smart. Could not recommend more.

I'm sure she's a knowledgeable physician, but she's mostly cold & insensitive, and doesn't really listen much. Seems in a hurry to get the patient out and move on. Will not be seeing her again.

Dr. So was very nice and professional. She explained things very clearly and her manner were direct and caring at the same time.

Dr. So was beyond attentive to my symptoms, and aggressively sought out the cause. This is most refreshing in a world largely populated by doctors who make a great living treating symptoms instead.
