Well trained old school psychiatrist with decades of experience who does more than medication management. Dr. Lebe is a good listener who cares about her patients.

Waste of time

Dr. Doryann Lebe has been my psychiatrist since I arrived in Los Angeles in the mid 1990s. I have called on her and she has been extremely valuable at all the difficult moments of my life. She has helped me know myself, make good choices, and live a rich, full life. I'm truly grateful.

I approached therapy with a lot of optimism and positive attitude and after my interaction with Dr. Lebe I do not know if I will be approaching it again in the future in the same way. From day one it was all about how she was going to be receiving payment and how long I would be able to commit. There was absolutely no proactive engagement whatsoever. I like to talk. And I find life's way intriguing, so it was not that I felt uncomfortable sharing what my concerns were. I shared with the doctor that I had very specific worries and obstacles in my life that I was hoping to address but the entire first session was a series of blank or confused stares which was unsettling. By the second meeting, she had forgotten practically everything I had said from the week before. So, I spent a dangerous portion of that meeting reviewing everything from day one. So there was no progress and I felt foolish for having invested so much being faced then with what felt like disrespect. And honestly,… I could have dumped $200 in the toilet and talked in the mirror and gotten more done. I came in with lists and notes and ideas and I left feeling exhausted without any promise from her of ideas forming or any kind of synthesis .. If you want someone who will work WITH you and help you resolve obstacles in your life, this is not the doctor for you. I ended up cancelling with her for good when I called to tell her I was going to be late and she insisted AGAIN I come during the day which I had explained to her before (multiple times) was not possible because I had to work- so she clearly was not invested at all in me or my life. I won't be going anywhere near Beverly Hills again seeking this kind of help-

Dr. Lebe has genuine empathy for her clients. I've seen her for a very, very long time. I would recommend her highly.

Dr. Lebe will listen to your concerns just as long as they happen to conform with her preconceived notions. Don't waste your time with this doctor.
