I drive almost 45 minutes to be able to see Dr. McLaughlin. He is worth it! I feel that he treats me as a person with an illness rather than just an illness. He spends time with me, listens to me, talks with me rather than at me, and allows me to be part of the treatment plan decisions.

I have seen Dr. McLaughlin for 2 years now. He is always willing to listen to me and work with me on treatments. If I have any questions, he gets back to me right away - the longest was 2 days, and the quickest was about 3 hours. I trust him and feel that I am being treated appropriately medically, and in a caring manner. Even when I was having severe psychosis, he treated me with respect and compassion.

Same doctor as my mother, treated me based on what my mother would or would not approve. Being a 27 year old independent male, this was very inappropriate.
