Dr. Douglas Reid Grogan Jr, MD

I had my first visit with Dr Grogan yesterday and after feeling as though I became nothing more than a number at my previous doctor, it was so great to have a doctor take their time with me and really show an interest in what was going on with me. I felt as though I made a great decision in switching my primary care doctor to Dr Grogan at Bethel Family Medicine.

I can only type on the screen what I wish you could personally see. I have been Dr. Grogan's pt. for 30 yrs. He has taken care of my hormonal health with the most current experience gleaned from his committment to associate with & be educated by, world reknown experts.I am 64 yrs. old but look 44 & feel 44, due to his excellent health care not leaving any area left unattended. Dr. Grogan is a respected authority on guiding couples in their marital situations & has the best sex therapist in his field available to his pt.s within his practice. For overweight pt.s there is a comprehensive wellness lifestyle program with a specialist leading it. And another specialist within the practice if you are a diabetic.To me, this shows a doctor who sees, he alone can't be a one man show, knows where his field of expertise lies & staffs the best to meet the many needs that he considers great primary healthcare. At different times, depending on flu seasons & situations beyond his control, like… losing one of his pt.'s at he hospital just prior to beginning office hrs.etc., yes, there may be a longer waits to see the doctor, than what you would like, so, call ahead, we are all always on our cell phones to somebody anyways & see what the situation is, if he is running late, so that you won't be there just waiting or schedule the first app't in the morning or afternoon. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure those things out, but it does take an ATTITuDE to make everyones life's miserable, be a grown-up & deal with it responsibly, please! This I will tell you, when it is "your turn" to be seen, you will have his UNDIVIDED attention & receive the BEST healthcare that you would get ANYWHERE!

Dr. Grogan has been my primary care physician for the last 20 yrs. While he is a very gd doctor his office can be a bit annoying at times. Wait times are ridiculous usually waiting up to an hr to see him. Because I thought he was such a gd doc and his front office staff was extremely helpful so it was worth waiting to see him. In the last few years there has been quite a bit of turnover in the front office staff and some of the newer can be a bit rude and condescending and have been know to drop the ball on more than one occassion and dr seems more and more rushed every time I see him. I thinks it's more because the office/# of patients has grown to the point where they just can't keep up (and they continue to accept new patients). Now I will only see the nurse pract. if needed and have actively been looking for a new pcp.
